Morning - A Short Pearlina Fanfic

10:00 AM

A bright and white light shone into their bedroom. Pearl was the first one to be awoken from her slumber, since she slept facing the window. She slowly opened her eyes and picked up her phone to check the time.

"10 AM? Well that's new, I usually wake up earlier..." She muttered

She turned to face her girlfriend, who was still fast asleep. Even in her slumber, Pearl still found her absolutely adorable. She couldn't believe she had ended up with a significant other like her, especially because she was an Octoling, which is still a taboo subject among Inkopolis, but she couldn't help but love her.

Pearl shifted her whole body round to face Marina, but careful enough as to not wake her. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around the Octo and gave her a big 'ol hug, planting a kiss on her tentacles in the process; this was enough to wake her.

"Couldn't wait until I was awake, could you?" Marina said with a stir.

"Duh, obviously not. C'mon 'rina, it's a saturday and I know how much you like your free time; I couldn't just let you sleep through your favourite day of the week, i'd be a bad girlfriend otherwise."

"True. So, whatcha wanna do today?"

"I was thinking maybe we could go down to the mall? They're showing Splat Hard 5: Splashdown today and I was thinking we could watch that."

Marina let out a sigh at this statement, taking her mind all the way back to the Action vs Comedy Splatfest. She knew Pearl loved action movies but man, they were boring to her.

"You and your action movies... If we were to go watch a film at the cinema, I would prefer we see Love at First Woomy"

"Blegh! A romance film? C'mon Marina, I thought you had good taste! Besides, we didn't even star in that sloppy kiss mess of a film."

"But Romance stories are always so cute! Seeing all those couples in those movies reminds me a whole bunch of us."

This statement made Pearl blush, hard. She tried to retort but found herself burying her face into her pillow to stop herself from blurting out something that'll embarrass her. 

"Besides, don't we have Inkopolis News to host today?"

"You forgot that they changed our schedule, the Squid Sisters are hosting it today."

"Oh, right."

Pearl sat up and rubbed her eyes. She got up and went to go get changed, with Marina following suit shortly. Pearl got changed out of her nightwear, a pink tank-top and white shorts, into a large pink jumper with a giant golden-coloured medallion with her symbol in the centre, black shorts and pearlescent-coloured kicks while Marina got changed from a green t-shirt and pyjama bottoms to a crop top, also with a giant silver-coloured medallion with her symbol in the centre and skinny jeans with flat, converse-style trainers. 

Once they were changed and had eaten breakfast, they went to go pack for their trip to the mall.

"How much money do you have in your purse, Pearlie?"

"An easy 10,000G in physical, should be enough for two movie tickets and snacks for the movie. If we need more, i've always got my credit card." 

Pearl glanced at Marina quickly when she said this, and couldn't help but get "very happy" looking at her. She had to resist herself heavily to not just launch into her and have "intimate moments" with her; the most she could release from this feeling was a heavy blush. Marina noticed this from the corner of her eyes and gave a slight smile before returning to doing her hair.

Pearl went to go to the bathroom to brush her teeth but she found that something was holding her back. A large tug pulled her backwards into the arms of Marina, who had locked her into a very tight hug. Pearl didn't resist that much however, as she appreciated hugs very much. Only problem was, she couldn't breathe all that well with how hard Marina was hugging her, plus the fact that she had even more trouble breathing  because her head was tucked underneath Marina's breasts and her face was pressed up against her torso. Marina stroked Pearl's head while saying

"Didn't think I wouldn't notice, hm?"

"C-can't... breathe..."

"Shhh, just let yourself be hugged like the gay you are."

They spent an absurdly long time cradling eachother silently until Marina finally asked Pearl

"How much do you love me?"

Pearl retracted slightly so she can answer

"I've answered this so many times before but..."

Pearl breathed in, then out before saying:

"I love you more than anything else in existence"
