Rewind to last year on this date

I held you as you cried on my shoulder

and you told me not to leave

I wasn’t going anywhere,

not if you weren’t with me

because I always wanted to be with you

Fast forward to today

as I’m lying in my bed alone,crying

crying out for what we had,

what we shared

and how you could just throw that away

I hate you for it

I really do

but I also love you with everything I have

I said, “Please don’t leave.”

but you walked out on me anyway

something that I never could’ve done to you
