And finally

After a year

She came to cope with her losses

Realized her grandparents were in a better place

Understood the boy she loved some time ago

Was far, far away

She didn’t know if she would ever speak to him again

And for the first time

She realized she was okay with that

Because he didn’t deserve her heart

And he didn’t deserve her friendship either

It took her nearly eleven months to figure this out

But now she could move on,

Start fresh

And live the life she was meant to

She knew it wouldn’t be easy

But knew that after the year she has had

She could overcome anything
