Chapter 4

Thirdy and Bea has been consistent in communicating with each other. The two became good friends. There was never a day that they didn't update one another on how their day went.

"Good luck, Kuya!" Dani genuinely said to his brother as they made their way to their family car.

"Thanks, Dans." Thirdy replied with a smile.

Time went by too fast, it was Thirdy's last playing day in his high school career. He was really thankful that his team was in the finals.

While on his way to Ateneo, Thirdy receive a text message.

From: Ms. Athlete 🏐
Good luck on your game today, Thirds! 🙏🏼 I know you can do it!

A wide smile crept into his lips. Thirdy really appreciates small gestures like this because it's not everyday you'll get a genuine good luck from someone.

"Why are you smiling, Thirds?" Kiefer asked his younger brother while giving him a questioning look.

"Wala, Manong." Thirdy replied, not looking at his brother. "Got a funny message from my friend lang."

"Funny message?" Kiefer repeated. "Or a message from Bea?"

"Tissue for your issue, Manong!" Thirdy quickly answered. "Bea and I are just friends."

Kiefer chuckled at Thirdy's response. "I didn't say anything. You're too defensive, Thirdy." then Kiefer shook his head while smiling meaningfully at him. "Iba na 'yan! May crush ka na kay Bea 'no?"

Thirdy playfully pushed his brother. "Manong! Kung ano ano sinasabi mo ah! Wala akong crush kay Bea!"

"Okay, okay." Kiefer said, raising his hands in the air. "Pero alam mo, ganyan na ganyan ako sa crush ko nung high school ako eh."

"Mama, si Manong oh!" Thirdy complained to his mom like a 4 year old kid. "Asar ng asar!"

"Baka naman kasi crush mo nga talaga si Bea, kuya." Mozzy chipped in. "I've never seen you that happy before eh."

"MAAAAA!" Thirdy grunted. He couldn't believe that even his mom was teasing him. "Nakakainis ka, sumasali ka pa kay Manong."

"Tama na 'yang asaran." Bong reprimanded his son and wife. "Baka hindi makapaglaro ng maayos 'yan si Thirdy mamaya."

"Thanks, pa!" Thirdy said.

The Ravenas arrived at the Blue Eagle Gym an hour before the battle of Eaglets and Bullpups begins. Minutes after, they were joined by Alyssa, Kiefer's girlfriend.

"Hi, Ate Aly!" Dani excitedly greeted Kiefer's girlfriend. She really loves Alyssa for his older brother.

"Hello, Dani!" Alyssa greeted her back as she kissed her on her cheek. "Missed you, Dani girl."

The Blue Eaglets was down the whole first quarter but the game changed mid second quarter because Thirdy started playing really well.

"Thirdy Ravena for three!"

After knocking down that three, Thirdy glanced at the bleacher and flashed a smile. He wasn't expecting that he'd get an extra support from someone today.

"LET'S GO RAVENA!"

That caught the attention of the Ravenas. They all looked at the other side and found Bea who was holding a banner with "Go Thirdy!" written on it and was cheering her heart out.

"She's so cute!" Alyssa exclaimed. "Didn't know that Thirdy already has a fanbase ah."

Dani giggled. "She's actually kuya's crush." she said, her gaze still locked at her. "Her name is Bea."
