Thomas still had the dream on his mind as he worked through his breakfast that morning. Ben couldn't help but notice the lad's worried looks as he kept glancing over his shoulder as though he thought something were coming.
Finally, as Thomas looked over his shoulder for the millionth time, Ben finally decided to ask, "Thomas," as soon as he spoke, Thomas almost jumped out of his skin, so to speak, and gasped until realizing its source, "What's gotten' into ya, lad?" Thomas blushed with embarrassment, "Had a nightmare last night." Ben's mood changed from confusion to concern as he placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, "You alright?" Thomas nodded, "I'm just scared, it's like I'm being watched all the time." Ben patted the youth's back, "Try to remember, it's just a dream. The last I checked, they don't hurt ya." Thomas shot Ben a grateful smile, as gruff and negative as he could be, Ben could be sympathetic when it mattered.
As soon as they reached the New World, Thomas forgot about his dream as he stood in awe next to an equally astonished Lon,

"It's incredible!" Thomas leaned forward, "And it's all our's, I've never seen anything like it." Ben dropped a ladder,

"It can look like Ratcliffe's knickers for all I care, just as long as we're off this stinking boat!" John hopped onto it, "Come on, men. We didn't come all this way just to look at it."

As they reached the ground, Thomas lost all thought of the dream as he worked at all his chores on land with digging for gold, building the fort, etc. Many of the other men had heard about Thomas' dream and were glad Thomas was back to normal. Ben took the opportunity to give Thomas a pat on the back, "Feelin' better, lad?" Thomas smiled brightly and nodded as John patted him on the back, "Atta boy!"
