A look, a passing glance
Blushing cheeks
A sheepish smile
The whispers and giggles of friends
Incognito epithets
Like Mr. So-and-So for his name
To love and know that it's purely love
Watching him pass your desk in class
Trying not to hold your breath
He hands in his homework,
writes in his notebook,
falls asleep at his table.
You hope he will notice you
and single you out from the crowd
But for now,
Just his eyes,
His walk,
And his thoughts are enough,
Enough to make you fall in love.
