Nurturing Hope

Hope is like a newborn baby. 


The more you nurture it, the larger it gets, the more you connect with it. 


You fear that it'll vanish one day, that it'll betray you while it struggles to maturity, that it'll leave without ever reappearing.


The larger the Hope, the larger the disappointment. 

The larger the Hope, the larger the fear. 

The larger the Hope, the larger the motivation to work hard. . . the greater the chance of success.


Fear losing Hope more than Hope itself. 


Don't lose at the sight of the uphill before even taking the chance to stumble down to the bottom.


Don't be the one who remembers years later how you neither carried that newborn baby nor trudged up the mountain despite its steep and slippery slope.  


Instead, you turned away in fear and got trapped at the bottom without setting out one foot. . .
