Parth Agnihotri
I dont know why but I found Ishika to possess me. I was in her trance since she spent the night at my place. I realised that she had her own reasons of why she toyed me. She had some valid reasons which intrigued me to know more about her. I was completely into her. The curiosity kept growing with each passing day and at last, I got to know how her parents wants her to get married instead of being in Mumbai. However, she wanted to do something, she had the potential I agree and I was just a ladder which made her stay here.
It was a lazy afternoon when she knocked my door after two days of our secret. She knocked twice when I announced,
"Come in"
With a shy smile she walked inside tapping her heels against the marbled floor. I took a look at them and sighed
"What is it sir?" She seemed disturbed by my gaze
"Nothing....anyways what is it?"
"I need your signatures here" she handed me a file.
I took it away and after a brief read, signed them. She thanked me and was about to leave when I paused her steps,
"A moment please"
She turned back with her eyes seeking for a reason.
"Um sign these" I said throwing some papers towards her while I dropped the cup of coffee near the table without her notice.
She nodded and took a step ahead while I prayed for her not to slip. She didn't, while I smiled to myself. She gave me the papers and walked outside leaving her footprints on the floor.
Immediately, I walked towards the floor with a measuring scale and took her size. Once done I walked outside where Ria was waiting for me,
"Cancel my meetings for the day"
She didn't complete her words while I disappeared outside.
I reached the footprints store which had the best collection as far as I could register. A girl wearing a pencil skirt walked towards me and smiled,
"How can I help you sir?" She asked politely.
"Um...I want to see some flat shoes... comfortable yet office wear"
She nodded with a thought and smiled.
"I know what exactly you are looking for. Valentine's is around the corner and we have the best collection here. Follow me sir"
I nodded and followed the girl towards the upper floor. There were millions of flat shoes, with little to no heels at all. I took a look at each one of them, imagining them on her feet. I smiled like a coward for no reason then.
"I will have these" I said showing a brown pair of ballerinas with kitten heels attached. It was stylish yet edgy.
"You chose the perfect pair of shoes for your lady sir"
"Um...well"
I smiled while heading towards the counter, when I saw a few wallets adorning the counter.
"How are these bags for?" I asked abruptly
"They are with different range sir, which one would you like to own?" She asked
"Um...the black one, that one at the corner"
She nodded complimenting my taste once again. She packed both the shoe and the shoes in a huge parcel and wrapped it with gift paper. After the payment I walked out and checked the time. She probably must have left already, I thought.
"Hello" she said when I called her up
"Send me your address. Now!" I almost freaked her out
"Why? Why do you want my address sir?"
"Did you forget what I told you when alone?"
"Sorry Parth...but why do you need my address?" She asked again.
"I need to send some files..."I lied
"Okay...I will text it to you"
There was her message with the address. I smiled to myself and hoped on the car. I was crossing the street when I saw a vendor selling some silver junk jewellery. I knew how much she loved jhumkas with different colored beads at the end. At least I assumed it because I often saw her matching them with her kurtis. I stopped the car and picked up all colours from the rainbow that was available there. Paying him off,I attached a note outside the packet as well.
"I don't know how, when and why, but maybe you are the rainbow my life turned colourful."
I was all set this time. I drove away and reached there in at least 20 minutes. I saw her at the terrace. I need to be quick before she sees me. I rang the bell twice outside her room, and kept all of the stuffs on the floor. Once I heard some footprints coming closer, I ran away without her notice.
Ishika Sharma
I reached my room and was about to open it when I saw a huge gift on the floor. There was no one at the pg at that time, yet I looked over it to search for someone's name.
"For Ishika Sharma"
It said when I found it. I sighed and looked around. Thankfully, Aditi too wasn't present at the time being, nor was Geeta and Meera from the next room.
I walked inside straight towards the bedroom and locked the door. I had a habit of locking the door when I am sleeping, and since Aditi was staying in a separate room she never had a problem with it. I opened the parcel up to find a pair of shoes and a handbag. Near it, lied a small bag with had seven colours of the rainbow in the beads of those jhumkas along with a note.
The sender didn't attach the note and left me confused.
"Rainbow? Shoes, handbags, jewellery. What is all this?"
I asked myself when my phone rang. It was Parth.
"Hello" I attended the call.
"Um...we couldn't send the file today so it's ok we will talk about it tomorrow" he said
I nodded and he disconnected the call right away.
I checked all around again, there was nothing that could lead me to the sender. I checked the size of the shoe, it was the perfect fit as well. Was it some secret admirer? But who knows her well except for Aditi? She rested her head over the bed and sighed louder this time.
