Parth Agnihotri
We were walking through the pedestrian that same evening after dropping her parents at the station. She was silent all this while but something in her silence could easily be read.
"Ice cream?" I asked reaching a vendor.
She nodded while I brought two cones of strawberry. We sat near the park on one of the secluded benches and observed the beauty of the night sky. I loved the silence evolving between us. Its with very rare kind of people with whom you enjoy a beautiful silence. Yes, even silence is beautiful at some point of time. But I waited for her to speak today. It wasn't just a random confession, but I meant it by heart. I wanted to know what thoughts does she have regarding it.
"It was a slip of the tongue right?" She finally broke the ice with a question I was expecting.
"What?" I asked back
"I know you lied to my parents to calm them. Thanks" she smiled tasting her ice cream
"Do you think it was a lie?" I asked fixing my gaze over the random people walking around
"Yeah..." She said
"Why so?"
"Because you already have someone whom you love. Ria.." she said while I dropped my ice cream below.
Ria? Really? Who told her that all of a sudden? I waited for her till she burst out laughing. I was looking at her for an answer but perhaps it was too difficult to understand a woman.
"I was kidding" she said at last yet kept lip tight
I waited impatiently until I jumped off my seat.
"Enough okay. Will you care to speak now?" I asked once again.
She held her laughter and stood up. I tried to read her eyes but they were so deep that I feared drowning in them. Maybe that's the reason I have been keeping my feelings to myself all this time.
"Parth...I..."
"Don't deny in front of my eyes at least"
I looked away closing my ears with hands. She giggled while pulling my hands away.
"I need time to ponder over it Parth. I need Time"
I heaved a sigh of relief. But time? It was something that made me restless. I didn't have a habit of stopping by. Never before at least, till my heart was capable of love. I had no choice but to wait. I hoped she would have a yes for my query this time.
To kill time I logged into my wattpad account. The current story on Cursed Love scored the maximum audience. I was surprised on how, an author kept himself as the main character to leave such words in a story. I did it in both the two stories that I ever wrote.
In a reflex I updated my publisher this time, on how a depressed author was ready with a happy story this time. He was the most excited one and ended up asking me for at least a little amount of hints for the next story.
I was busy on the call when the doorbell rang. I walked towards the door and opened it. Ishika was waiting for me there.
"At this time? You came to meet me?"
I was surprised and astound. She smiled and walked inside. Clad in a black kurti with those same pair of shoes that I gifted her, she walked closer to me.
"Ishika..."
"Ssh.. I thought you were waiting impatiently for my answer" she said
"Yeah...and..."
