Chapter-9

Parth Agnihotri

Just before you realize your destruction coming even closer, you scream for help. You look forward to asking for it from someone you know well. You turn around to find none there. The more the time passes, the more you get inside a hole of no return. Something similar was happening to me, and I was not in a position to save myself.

Mom started to keep a strict eye on me. Her mind started to weave a new world where her son, for whom she never cared would marry Susan and live comfortably. I was bound to do everything since mom told my grandmom about how I love Susan.

"Parth...what are you doing there? Come here let's have breakfast together"

I couldn't resist her and hence I went. Taking a seat next to Susan was making me feel suffocated. I turned my sight away and started eating in complete silence and awkwardness.

"Veena...I want you to arrange his wedding while I am still alive"

I looked around. Every face reflected happiness in a way that it killed me. However,I was not in a mind to upset them right away, but neither I wanted Susan and me to suffer later.

"What is it Parth?" Susan asked making her grip tighten on my thighs

"Nothing....excuse me please"

I walked away and locked myself up in my room. Ishika's face flashed up in front of me. I cannot do this to her. I promised her to be her possession. I needed help and I didn't know how.

I was walking to and fro in my room when there was a knock at my door. As expected, it was Susan who came inside locking the door.

Her look said what was cooking, but this time I promised not to let her win me.

"So...missed me?" She asked tracing her finger down my face. It irked me.

"No...not at all"

I pushed her back and pretended to go through some files. I wanted her to leave right away.

"Why?" She asked breathing against my nape.

I took a look at her. Her eyes read seduction and her attire smelled of intoxication. I remembered how she tricked me with her behavior in the conference room yesterday. I was hell bent this time to ignore her ways.

"Tell me" she was barely audible.

I held her by her shoulder and carried her in my arms. She smiled coyly while I walked towards the door, put her down and closed the door behind me.

"Hey? You cannot do this to me Parth. You are not allowed" she screamed banging the door harder than before

"I am allowed to do what I want Susan...so can you please leave?"

"I will get you Mr. Agnihotri"

She shouted and left. I breathed out deeply while I waited for her to leave the house. Once confirmed, I ran downstairs and straightaway went to Ishika's place.

"What? She ain't home?"

Aditi said with a blank expression. I came back and sat inside the car. Dialing her number, I waited impatiently for her to answer the call.

"Yes" she said at the fourth ring.

"Where are you Ishika? I came to meet you here...and"

"I am out seeking for something"

"What is it?"

"That's none of your business, you can f*** around that chick you met recently. Don't call me Parth please"

She disconnected. I sighed. In just one day, my life turned upside down. Susan came back the day while I was waiting for Ishika's answer. She pushed me into her seduction and now, she was brain washing my family. I was tired of it all, but there wasn't any way by which I can get rid of it all at once.

"Yes.."

The girl finally opened the door. I told her everything and it was only then when she let me in.

I was regretting the way I talked with Parth, but there was no choice. My mind was preoccupied with anger, hurt and jealousy. He loved me right? Then how come you give into their desires just because they seduced you?

I came inside while Payal Chauhan welcomed me with a cup of coffee. She was willing to help no matter what it was.

"Payal...I know you are Susan's friend but its really important for me to know her moves" I said

Payal stopped and walked towards the balcony. The sun was setting in the western side while she breathed softly and started speaking,

"Do you see the sunset?" I walked closer and stood next to her

"Yes"I nodded losing myself in the moment

"Parth's life will set by the time you understand her...never to rise again" she said

I looked towards her face. The soft mellow rays of the fading sun was reflected all over her face. She smiled and continued,

"Susan is a dark eclipse for Parth right now. I know I will be ditching my friend if I tell you this but he is in some danger. She won't let him breathe anymore now that she was able to seduce him" she said

I was thoughtful. Her words didn't make sense to me. It was hard for me to digest it.

"What do you mean?" I said

"If you really love him, snatch him before she completes her revenge"

The last line kept on revolving around my head for a long time. I reached home an hour ago and explained everything to Aditi. She was scared of Susan after what she heard.

"Do you really think she will go to any extent?" She asked biting her nails.

"I don't know Aditi but what Payal told me seemed genuine enough. I think he is in danger" I said

"What can you do without talking to him?"

She had a point. Without talking to him, I won't be able to avoid the risk. I sighed. My head felt dizzy when he called up.

"Ishika" he said

"Yeah..."

We were silent at both ends. A moment later, we said it together,

"I love you"......
