Millies pov

i greet the alpha smiling as i do so, i know he's not my mate, i kind of which he was though, he runs a pack three states over.
"so millie have you found your mate yet?" he questions me i look up and smell an amazing scent
"yes and no" i smile i can tell both luna and this alpha are confused, i look around and spot him, my heart jumps out of my chest and i take a deep breathe
"I'm sorry, i have to go, you know making sure everything is set up for the re-titling" i fake smile rushing off, i can hear him behind me, i kick my heels off grabbing them as i do so and my dress as to not ruin the beautiful fabric and take off running as fast as i can into the woods, i know i am faster than him, i shouldn't be but i am.
"please stop, i can't lose you now that i found you" he calls i want to stop, to turn around and run into his arms but i cant i won't allow myself. i throw the heels down by a tree and imagine myself in wolf form. i take off running as a wolf i know he is transforming as well which gives me the upper hand. i dart between trees until i reach a cliff. do i jump? or run a different way? in the time it takes me to think about my options i am tackled to the ground, i look at his beautiful black wolf and want to howl in joy. he gets up and shifts back into human form.
"please shift back" he smiles sadly at me i just nod standing up and changing back into my wolf as he requested, i look over the trees and notice that it's still the same as it once was, thank god.
"get it over with" i growl out he stares at me in shock
"get what over?" he questions so innocently
"luke just reject me already" i growl not really wanting to be with him right now, his scent is driving me insane I'm surprised my wolf hasn't come back to try and force me to mark him
"i will never reject you and I like it when you say my name" he hisses grabbing my wrist and pulling himself closer to me breathing in my scent
"but everything you have done to me" i whisper making his whole body go rigid.
"was on orders of the current alpha, we should get back to the party" he smiles sadly at me
"say what" i question him he looks at me
"i will get my mum to explain tomorrow okay, but we should go back so i can be re-titles and take his command off the pack" i stare at him in shock
"you dont even need to be at my side until i am retitled at taking the command off, but when that command is off i am announcing you as luna right then and there no questions and no augments" he growls obviously struggling with his wolf i just nod not wanting to make anything worse.

we walk back in silence, i had already grabbed my shoes and slipped them on. i start to hear the party
"dad wants me, its time when i start to announce that i find my mate please come up" he whispers in my ear i just nod not wanting to anger him.

i push myself into the middle of the crowd and start listening to the ceremony.
"we are gathered here today to celebrate my eldest and only sons eighteenth birthday and the re-titling of him as alpha, he has been training hard for this day for so many years and i know he is finally ready to take over the dark sky pack" his father speaks so proudly of him, he grabs out the re-titling knife and i freeze, i know he isnt getting demoted but every time i see that knife i flip out, its the same one that made me an omega
"with this slice of the hand I re-title you alpha of the dark sky pack" he speaks clearly slicing both of there hands open and rubbing them together as a transfer of power. the crowd goes wild and i start heading up to the front knowing its almost time for me to jump on the stage, my heart is pounding out of my chest
"thank you, father, but I'm sorry" luke states everyone starts looking at each not sure of what's about to happen.
"i Luke Frost, alpha of the dark sky pack undo the command ex-alpha, Jameson Frost of the dark sky pack placed on everyone to beat and abuse Millie James" he states so clearly the alpha tone breaking it, his father looks at him ready to kill but knows he has no right now that he is not alpha,
"my pack and all packs here, tonight i found my mate, someone i did not expect in all my years but i am happy to have her as Luna by my side, even with her tough past she is stronger than any she-wolf i have ever meet even with her current title" he speaks searching the crowd
"please come up baby you promised" he whispers into the microphone almost sounding like he's going to cry i start walking up the stairs
"you calling me baby wasn't arranged" i laugh at him as he wraps his arms protectively around me breathing in my scent. i hear all the gasps of shock in the crowd but at the moment i dont care
"do you Millie James accept me as your mate and accept being the luna of the dark sky pack" he questions needing this to be quick and easy i decide to muster up the biggest smile i can
"i do" i whisper laughing at his reaction he pulls me in and kisses my lips and i freeze. do i want to kiss him, i decide to kiss him back and talk to him about it later.

as we walk around the pack celebration i start to feel tired but just dismiss it
"alpha, luna" Andy smiles at us making me run into his arms obviously earning a growl from luke
"luke calm down, Andy was my cell guard up until yesterday when he was put as your guard, he's one of the only ones in the pack who wouldn't touch me unless one of you guys was around, he helped me shift, if it wasn't for him last week you would never have found me today" i whisper out burying my head into Andys top
"Luna you feeling okay?" he questions i just nod
"just tired not having a wolf does that to a girl" i laugh out.
"you dont have a wolf, but you shifted, how did andy help you shift, didnt you know its dangurs to shift with no wolf you could have died" luke growls pulling me into his side
"she left when i was demoted from beta to omega, and hasnt been back since thats why all my wounds never healed as fast as they could, we knew it was a risk but i hoped my mate was going to be here and that i would get out of this pack and live a better life and if i died i would still have gotten out of here, i didnt die, im right here and im not telling you how we did it" i growl out he just stiffens
"you where going to leave me?" he questions i just nod
"i didnt know you where my mate, if i was still a beta we would have found each other sooner but i had to shift, this was my first opitunity to get out and find my mate, i didnt know it was a commond" i cry into his chest
"how did you not scream with that beating, i just thought your wolf was taking the pain from you" he gulps i just shake my head. i feel the world start to spin
"something isnt right" i get out before passing out.

i wake up and groan at the light coming though the window, wait a window? i dont have a window in my cell. i sit up carefully my body feeling sore. i hear footsteps and see Luke and his mum walk into the room
"where am i?" i question silently
"do you not remember yesterday? and you are in our room" he comments sitting carefully on the bed and stroking my leg. the events rush back to me.
"i do now" i sigh out trying not to moan at his hand rubbing circles on my leg.
"well i talked to Lo my wolf and apparently your wolf went for shelter with him when you were demoted, they knew they were mates but couldn't tell us because of age or something and she was too weak so you went and curled up with him" luke smiles at me
"he said when we mate she will be able to jump back with you" he blushes a bit, i hear a throat being cleared
"sorry luna" i bow my head trying not to blush
"how many times have i told you, it's mum and you're luna now hunny" she smiles he looks between us in confusion
"your mum was the only one in the pack not to hurt me" i comment he just nods
"and your mate was the one to organize the whole party and ceremony" she laughs back, his head whips around to mine and a loving smile forms his face
"do you want to hear why the command was placed now, or do you want me to come back" she smiles i dont even need to think about it
"now please" she just nods and sits down, luke moves to my side and sits behind me as a way to comfort me

"well my mate Jameson was in love with your mother, even though he was with me it wasn't enough, he felt that he only loved me because of the bond not for real life, your mother wouldn't give him the time of day she was raising you and your sister and madly in love with your father. i knew he was taking it too far so i confronted him and he told me it would all end soon, i didn't want to question him so i went on raising Luke, i knew you two had a bond just like everyone else but we didn't know if it was an alpha-beta bond or mates, because there was too beta daughters luke was going to have to pick who he was going to have as a beta, one day my mate disappeared for a few hours and no one could get in contact with him, it was the same day you guys went out for a walk into the woods with your family, when he arrived we all felt him block someone from our link but we didn't think much of it, a lot of spys were in our pack at the time so we just assumed it was them and he had worked out who some of them were. not long after you and Anna ran inside yelling rouge attack and we took off. i later found out it was your family he blocked. he went to a small rouge pack and told them to kill Anna, your father and you and to leave your mother alone. he planned that while she was weak to mark her as his and allow me to die but it backfired. instead, your parents sent you guys to get help, and as they went to kill your father your mother jumped in front and got killed instead. he offered the rouges if they succeed a place in the pack but because they didn't he found the information out and killed them all, that's when he demoted you and your sister and commanded them. when your sister escaped he was furious so wanted you weak. not long after we found her dead body in the woods right near the border" his mother amber cries out, by now i am crying hard out picturing it all happen i hide my face into Lukes' chest not caring at the moment if it gets wet
"dont cry please" i whimper out, her and Lukes eyes glaze over and she leaves the room.
"you okay?" he questions i just shake my head tears rushing down my face at a million miles an hour
"here let's go back to sleep" he whispers into my ear, moving around under me so that we are laying down, me on his chest
"night beautiful" i hear before i fall asleep.
