"...do you want to go on a date with me?" his words seemed to burn into my brain, a huge, gaping hole that left me clueless and tingly. 'A date, PJ, me and PJ. He wants me to go on a date with me? What's the date today? Is it April Fools? No, it's too early in the school year. Did he hit his head?' I looked up at him, his horribly nervous eyes. The mismatch blue and yellow, it calmed me. My thoughts came to a surprisingly calm stop as one word left my lips, "Please."

He looked at me so happily, mouth curving into a relived smile as he lightly sighed. "Oh, I-" C strolled up to us and smacked PJ upside the head in the middle of his response, "Y'know, you should really ask the girl's guardian beforehand. It's just plain courtesy, Dummy." "Thanks a lot, ma'am." PJ sarcastically replied as he rubbed where he'd been smacked. "Don't assume my gender, Skeleton." C glared with a sneer. "Now, (Y/N), let's get you back to the 'Cream Team'." C said as they started to tug PJ and I down the hall by our hands. On the way we passed Horror, his sockets widened at the sight, but quickly dismissed us with a light smile and a wink towards C. 

Once we got to Cross and Dream, C had already told us about their relation to Cross. And the second the two saw the three of us, Dream had already started chuckling and Cross just looked apologetic as a wordless response to C's sassy face. PJ just awkwardly stood there, rocking back and forth on his heels as he scratched the back of his neck again. "Hello, C, you're back and you brought my daughter and PJ." Cross smiled in an almost awkward way. "Yes, Captain Obvious, I'm also aware that your daughter never got told about me. Your respect for family hurts me." C pouted with a hand over their heart. "Oh, and this skelly asked your (Y/N) on a date without permission from you two." They added while pointing their thumb at PJ, who looked like he was bracing for something.  

"Oh"

Hey guys, I'm sorry for the super late and kinda short chapter. I've been a bit blocked on inspiration for this story, I think my computer's dying, and quite busy with school and some other stuff. I know I've been giving you, amazingly patient readers, almost nothing but excuses, and I apologize for that. Also, I might need to ask you all a favor, my dad is making a comic on Webtoon and I'd really like you to check it out. It's really cool and kinda trippy, the title is Pinata Maze by Ten_Tenorio.
