"I just called because Mr. Kang invited us for dinner. Are you up for it?" Said Rosie on the other line. "What for?" I ask, not really interested specially if I might see that "fiancée" girl again. Gosh. I can still remember her facial expression while saying SHE is Seulgi's soon to be half. Grrrrrr.
In timing, I was brought back to the world when I heard Rosie let out a sigh. I just rolled my eyes. "Gas tank Incident" she replied. "Ah, thanks, but nope" I coldly said. Yeah, cold as possible because I am having a feeling that the call is on speaker. "You heard her. No means no" Rosie said in irritation. See. Normally, when I'm conversing with her through call, the other line is always noisy and chaotic because Lisa and Jisoo were pestering me to buy them foods and souvenirs when I get back, but right now, it is UNBELIEVABLY quiet as heck.
I just plastered a smirk while waiting for the awaited people to response. "Uncle will also give you rewards!" Kim Yerim exclaim in excitement. Her voice is a little high-pitch, and it hurts my eardrum. "Really?!" I said, the same way as she did while grinning, then I heard a chorus of gasps. I think I even hear a cough from Lisa. Looks like they didn't see it coming. I know, girls. I know, but wait for the surprise. I'm not done yet. "Yes. Uncle prepared so much for you guys!" she's still showing excitement through her voice. "Wow. That's so nice of him" I told. "So, are you coming?" then it was Seulgi. My mood instantly switch. I roll my eyes again and ready to hang-up. "Of course--NO" I deadpan. "But--" Yerim didn't have the chance to finish her sentence when I cut her off. "I'll hang up now" I inform before ending the call.
I just hope Rosie is not rejoicing at her spot right now because I know she won in whatever dare the three of them made before the call. Among the Pinkpunk, Rosie is the one who knows me better. We're roommates, so she's already used to all of my behaviors and mannerisms, so did I to her. I treat them good friends now, unlike before where I'm cold towards them. Trust issues. Duh. HAHAHAHA.
[KNOCK (2X)]
"Come in!" I said while rummaging inside my backpack. Seungwan eonnie enters my room, carrying a paper bag. It's finally here, oh just in time. "Like how you described it" she confidently said, then shows me the actual picture frame. I smile widely, and embrace her for a warm and BROTHERLY hug. "Thanks, oppa!" I beam in happiness while getting the picture frame out of her hold. It was an A4 size frame and the sides are plain white just like how I imagined it will look like. I'm happy.
I start searching something inside my bag again. Where did I last put it? Hmm.
"What will you put in there?" Seungwan eonnie ask while sitting on the other side of my bed. "You don't take selfies though" she added which I just roll my eyes playfully. The tip of my fingers already feels something thin yet sharp. I trapped it between my fingertips and pulled it out of the secret pocket of my bag. "This" I said, showing her a neatly folded paper, then she raises an eyebrow while looking at me, snatching the paper. "A letter?" she asks in surprise as I nodded my head in response, then grabs back the letter. "Seulgi's letter" I enlighten her, but full of bitterness in my voice.
"What letter?" then we heard Rin's voice and saw that she's already inside my room. "I forgot to close the door" Seungwan eonnie just realized while scratching the back of her neck. I actually noticed that she forgot to, but I didn't pay too much attention because I'm not expecting for my sister to finished baking earlier than usual. I let out a sigh before facing Rin's direction. "This, eonnie" I said while plastering a smile. I show her the letter which she claps excitedly. "Oh! A love letter?!" my sister exclaim in surprise, but I just smile bitterly while unwrapping the plastic that protecting the picture frame. "It was an unrequited love though" Seungwan eonnie whispered something to Rin which of course I have no idea what was that about, so I just secretly rolled my eyes while placing the letter inside the frame. "There" I happily said while showing them my new picture frame.
