"you spend so much time in my mind, i should charge you rent," the annoying bed-headed boy chirped. you turned your head in the opposite direction of him.
"do your legs hurt from running through my dreams all night?" he continued.
"no, but your legs are gonna hurt after i snap them in half," you threatened.
"if looks could kill, you would be a weapon of mass destruction."
"i wish my looks could kill you."
"if i were a cat, i'd spend all nine lives with you."
"too bad you only have one life and it's not with me," you remarked, turning back around to glare at him.
it was a daily occurrence. he never missed a day unless one of the two of you were sick. everyday as soon as you would walk into homeroom, he was there, ready and equipped with pickup lines.
it all started when you stepped on a pencil.

you walked through the empty hallway towards the direction of the bathroom. you looked at the posters on the walls as you made your way down the hall, completely unaware of the other human in the same hall. like you, he had also been looking at the posters.
suddenly, you stepped on something that rolled from the bottom of your shoe, causing you to fall forward. however, you also brought someone else down with you. your face was on his chest while his hands gripped your waist as you straddled him.
"sorry, i trippe—"
"—i think you just fell for me."
you groaned internally at the bad pun. glancing up, you saw a curly-haired boy that you recognized to be the new kid.
"i fell on top of you, not for you," you clarified as you untangled yourself from him and stood up.
he followed suit and replied, "same difference." noticing that you weren't going to respond, he introduced himself, "i'm kim haon. i'm new."
