Chapter 4

I woke up in Brennan's bedroom in his long light blue T-shirt. I get off his bed and he is laying down on the floor with a blanket wrapped around him.

I rub my eyes and head for my phone on his dresser.

"Uhhrr" Brennan stretches his arms and his eyes flutter open.

"What time is it?" I look at the top of my phone "10:23"

I pull the shirt down making it go down to my thigh.

He hops up and brushes thru his hair with his fingers.

"You hungry?" He asks. 

"Very"

He walks down stairs with me following behind him. 

"I don't know how to cook at all" I admit laughing

"Like I even burn bread." He chuckles and opens the refrigerator door.

"How about some chocolate chip pancakes and eggs?"

My stomach growls "that it is"

See my family being French I have to know how to cook. Like every Christmas we will all make something different every year" I smile

"That sounds awesome"

*skip the cooking part cuz I CANNOT COOK FOR SHIT*

At the end the food looked perfect. We go sit at his table in the dining room and eat.

"This is so good" I manage to say before taking another bite.

He chuckles and looks around the house.

"Wow it's not even that bad besides a few cups and trash

I look around and nod my head.

"So what are your plans today" I ask him

"Well I was gonna clean up the house and then probably play on my PlayStation."

I nod my head and eat the last bite of eggs. I take my plate to the kitchen and rinse it off and he follows doing the same thing.

"I'm gonna go grab you some sweatpants" I nod my head and wait downstairs while he goes up to get them.

Seconds later he comes back down with grey Nike sweatpants.

"here they might be a little baggy" I murmur a thank you and gently slide them up my legs.

"they fit fine" he nods his head

"im gonna clean this mess up then we can watch a movie or something" I nod "oh and your brother is picking you up later he has to go to Greendale to do something" I nod my head again

"I will help you" he goes to under his kitchen sink and grabs some Lysol wipes and trash bags.

"this shouldn't even take 30 minutes"

"so what do you wanna watch" he says plopping down on the sofa next to me.

"Oh I don't care anything" he nods then goes to Netflix and starts browsing through movies

"Ooo what about this" I look up from my phone and he is playing stepbrothers

"I haven't watched that in ages!" He turns it on.

"That was so good" I tell him. He grabs the popcorn bowl and sets it on the island.

"Your brother said he was on his way." I nod

"Okay I'm gonna get all my stuff together."

After grabbing my dress, makeup, shoes and everything I put it all in my bag.

I go back downstairs and see Edward and Brennan playing his PlayStation.

He sets the controller down and grabs my stuff out of my hand.

"You ready?"

"Yeah I guess"

He says bye to Brennan and I tell him thanks for letting me stay and we leave.

I get in his car and play on my phone while he puts my stuff in the trunk.

He gets in and drives.

"So why were you at greendale."

"It was nothing"

"Are we still doing the lies?" He huffs

"Someone.. I know lives there"I nod my head not really caring.

"So when we get home can you not mention I went to greendale.." I nod

"Yeah whatever"

We get home and I put my stuff up.

I grab a towel and go to my bathroom.

Once I'm done with the shower I go to my room and change into pajamas and watch Netflix on my tv.

I get bored of it and go downstairs and eat dinner.

Edward was really quiet while mom and dad was talking.

"Mom can my new friend Mylee come over tomorrow?" I ask hoping she would say yeah

"Sure but tomorrow is a Sunday and you have school on Monday" I nod my head and eat my steak.

Once the food was done Edward and I went back up stairs and he went to his room I went to mine. I take my phone out and message Mylee about the plans, she says she can come over.

I get bored and go to Edwards room he is in the family book looking at pictures.

I know on his cracked door "Hey" he looks up startled.

"Hey" I go to his bed and look at the photos he is looking at "remember that?" He says pointing to the picture when I was five and he just turned 6 and it was halloween I went dressed up as a pirate while he went dressed up as Spider-Man.

"How could I forget that was the year dad ate all are candy when we were asleep." He chuckles

"Then you blamed it on me"he said

"How couldn't I you had all kinds of wrappers under your bed."

"That was from my basket mom didn't let me eat any more candy so I snuck it"

We both bust out laughing.

"I-I need to show you something" he says.

"You can tell me anything"he nods and gives me a small smile.

"Back at home this summer before we moved here in science we were doing DNA and told me that my blood type was AB but they said on the form where I put moms and dads they said it didn't match up mom cannot have a AB."

He stops talking to breathe.

"I started to look into it and turns out I might be adopted or something."

My heart dropped.

I pull him in for a hug.

"We will get through this."

"That's why I was in Greendale and that's why I didn't go to the party last night"

"Mom said she had me in greendale so I went to the courthouse and there was no records of me-" he paused for a second "only you"

"Let's go ask mom she wouldn't lie to our face" I tell him.

"But she has, for almost 18 years."

My Mom used to live in greendale as a teenager that's how she met my dad.

"Let's just go ask."

"Okay"
