So, if you're reading this, this is the reason why I've written about Emily and Henry. These people are not real, but bits and pieces of their stories correlate with some of the things that have happened in my life. A while back, there was a baby that was put in the care of our pastor and his wife by the foster system. The baby was also the granddaughter of someone in our church. Her biological brothers also go to our church. Anyways, when we learned about her, we immediately began to care for her a bit. Many families in our church cared for her, actually. The reason being, our pastor and his wife are in their sixties right now and they could barely keep up with her.

Over time, we began to grow closer and closer to the baby that our pastor was fostering. It got to the point where we wanted to adopt her, but that was where it got messy. The social worker that had been assigned to Addison kept giving us issues. When we tried to do a private adoption, she claimed that we were doing something illegal. It got to the point where our lawyers and our parents agreed that our pastor should adopt her immediately. They could tell that there was something fishy going on under the table. So, my pastor did end up adopting her. She enjoys being with him and his wife, and I still am able to see her. However, that doesn't mean that it's not hard.

Another reason why this is personal is because I was adopted. As soon as I was out of the womb I was taken in by my mom and dad today. They have taken very good care of me and love me as their own. They will always be my only parents.

So if anyone makes any rude comments about adoption, abortion, or the foster system, please know that I will more than likely mute you. These topics will always be ones that I cannot handle if anyone makes any jokes about them on my page. FAIR WARNING.

Other than that, I hope you guys have enjoyed this story and if you want me to write a sequel just leave a comment or DM me. Hope y'all have a great week!
