George was a heavy sleeper who had an unfortunate habit of not sleeping nearly enough, so when he collapsed into a slumber during his and June's Harry Potter marathon, nobody could really be surprised.
The pair were cuddled up on George's bed; a plethora of empty packets of junk food littered the surrounding food and the telly was auto-playing all eight movies.
George had fallen asleep during the fourth, and part way through the seventh June realised she had been stroking his hair absentmindedly. Smiling down at the boy she had become overly fond of, she turned back to the movie, failing to notice him stirring and grinning to himself.
A soft knock echoed from his door as it creaked open, causing June to rip her eyes away from the screen once more. There, peaking through the gap in the door, was Alex. Nodding at him, June reached for the remote to pause the movie resulting in George faking a groan and getting comfortable on her once more. "Yeah, Alex?" June whispered at her friend.
"I need to talk to you," he whispered back, his eyes darting between her and George, "about," he gestured with his head towards the sleeping figure that lay upon her.
"Oh, alright," she shifted, sitting up more, but keeping George lying on top of her, "what do you need?"
Alex sat down on the edge of the bed, eyeing George suspiciously, "I just want to ask- do you like him?"
June choked on her breath and coughed a bit, startled. "I- uh- why do you ask?"
Shrugging at her, a smirk crept onto Alex's mouth, "Just wanted to make sure he wasn't barking up the wrong tree." The female stared at the brunette boy with wide eyes before he continued, "Get it? Because he's basically your bitch!"
Covering her mouth with her palm to suppress the giggles trying to escape, June glanced down at the boy who was lying on top of her. His slightly curled hair was splayed across his head and June couldn't help but admire him. He breathed through his slightly chapped lips due to his nose being blocked (hayfever is great). She couldn't help but study him. The slow rise and fall of his chest as he took each breath enchanted her. She watched his eyelashes flutter as he watched the television, the reflection of what was occurring being crystal clear in his scintillating eyes.
Licking her lips nervously, June finally responded to her brunette friend, "He's definitely not barking up the wrong tree if he is even looking at said tree."
