Letting himself inside of her flat, George examined the living room. He gradually made his way through the hallway until he approached the dining room/kitchen.

June was curled up in the fetal position on the floor, her shoulders visibly shaking. Being a naturally joyous girl, the sight of a solemn June would have astounded anyone that had conversed with her for more than three minutes.

His concern getting the better of him, George slinked into the kitchen where there was an abandoned envelope on the counter-top and a letter face down on the floorings. Plucking it from the harsh floor, wearily George glanced at the girl in the next room over. The red, bold words screamed and shouted at him from the paper. 'EVICTION NOTICE'. George felt his stomach drop.

The eviction crept up on the uni student like a boa snake that pounced and choked the rest of the happiness out of her life. June wasn't being evicted because of noise complaints. Nor was she being evicted for damage of the property. But her bank account had gone stale, like the brown seeded bread in her otherwise empty larder cabinet. In the process of buying things for her friends, solely paying for her degree and topping up her oyster card to see as-fore-mentioned friends, she forgot that she wasn't a youtube who was earning over minimum wage. But, she was, in fact, a broke university student

George felt guilty. He desperately wanted to allow June to live with Alex and himself, but he couldn't. With his feelings towards her, he could hardly lie in the same bed without his face heating up exponentially. And, with Athena staying on their sofa after her breakdown, that was unavailable. If they had a spare bedroom, George would have given it to her in the blink of an eye.

Making his way back to the entrance of the home, George knocked on the wall lightly. Quickly wiping away her tears with her jumper, leaving her face raw and red, before turning to face George with an obviously fake lie.

June was far from exceptional at hiding her emotions. If you had a scale, professional liar at one end of the spectrum, June would be on the other. It wasn't that June was trying to lie to her friends, they were all beginning to be successful and were able to buy things that any average adult their age would only dream of. She didn't want to be the charity case of their friendship group.

(Jake baz is charity case no.1 always - Millie )

George dropped down to the floor and cradled the previously crying girl in his arms, rocking back and forth, running his hands through her soft hair. Clocking on that George knew what was going on, June wrapped her arms around his torso and leant her head into his chest.

June hated being so vulnerable. She usually covered up any negative emotion with jokes and memes, but knowing there was a capability of her being severely hurt broke her.

"Let's dye my hair." June stated with such a self-asserted tone that it startled the boy.

Regaining his composure, George laughed. "Shouldn't we find you somewhere to live first?"
