I ran to the door and saw Chris was still walking down the road. Here was my opportunity, with no shoes on my feet I began to sprint, "OI!" I yelled on the top of my lungs, Chris stopped walking and turned around confused.
"Do you wanna explain what the hell just happened back there?" I asked, closing the gap between us, frowning at his sudden outrage he showed back in my apartment. Chris didn't reply but just stood with his hands in his pocket and looking to the floor."Answer me!" I pushed him slightly in the chest out of frustration. "Alright fine!" he yelled back holding up his hands in defence. "I didn't think I was good enough for you, you are an amazing person and I was too much of a stupid dick and a total embarrassment to you. Thats why I left you"
I was shocked and angry.
"Don't you think it is MY decision if I want to date a dick or not?!" I asked pointing my index finger in his face, Chris had a sad expression, but I had to know why he felt he needed to make such decision for both of us. I threw my hands in the air and ran my fingers through my hair. "I loved you, so much!" I said placing my hands on my waist. "That damn wedding ring should have been from me!" I pointed to his left finger. I scoffed when Chris was still silent, "well I guess this, silence, is my answer for how you felt about me" I said walking away.
I was a few feet anway from my apartment door when I felt someone grab my lower arm and pull me around. His lips crashed onto mine as he held his hands on each side of my face, "that hasn't changed" I blushed. Chris chuckled and pulled me into a hug. "Would you like to come in for a coffee and watch a movie with me?" I asked in a friendly manner. "Yeah, we got alot of catching up to do" Chris smiled. He was always a beautiful man, he was always better when he had a smile on his face. Even in bad situations, Chris would smile all the way through the situation, I loved him for his positivity.
My moment of anger seemed to disappear, I had missed him so much and now he was back, yet unclear for how long and if things would ever change or if we would continue to be friends. I secretly hoped we could give a relationship another chance, but so much was running on this. For starters, he was a married man.
