Backstory

I sat in the waiting room sucking on my thumb. come on Y/n don't worry.. maybe he's the one. I watched as the male walked out, his stoic face landing on me. "hey, pack your stuff" he held up a stack of papers as he spoke, "You're coming home with me." his lips turned to smile as he ruffled my hair. "Thank you so much Mr!!!" I quickly hugged him and felt tears filling my eyes. he chuckled and rubbed my back "alright, hey calm down. I'll help you pack." I let go and grabbed his hand, leading him to my room. "This is all I have" I picked up a small teddy bear and handed it to the man. He looked at the bear in his hands for a few seconds before looking at me. "Alright, if this is it we should make our way to the airport." "Airport?" "yea, I live in Japan." He smiled at me and picked me up. "c'mon. dont wanna miss our flight." I giggled and hugged him. I can't believe it! i finally have a father... I really hope this one stays.

Aizawa's pov

I glanced down to the small child in my arms. After going through all of her records and learning as much as I could, I know she needs this. I opened the door to my apartment and laid her down on the couch. I pulled out her records and started going over them once more

Available information - Y/n was found on the edge of a riverbank and brought in by  a member of the staff. from what we know, Y/n's quirk is very strange and seems to change. when she uses it her even stranger highlights seem to illuminate. From what we know, she has been with a total of 5 families, reasons for coming back unknown. 

I glanced up at the sleeping child and sighed. "When you get situated I guess we'll try to understand that quirk of yours." I placed the papers down and pulled out my phone. As much as I can't stand him, I should call Toshinori. 

"hey, Toshi-.. yes. uh huh. liste-. yes she's here now can I-" Before I could even finish, the phone call ended and a loud knock was at the door. I opened the door to find Toshinori standing there out of his hero form quickly glancing around. "she's asleep so be quiet. I called you to look over her papers with me." He quickly walked in and stared at the sleeping child. "she's ADORABLE" I rubbed my temples and nodded. "very much so, now," I handed him her main papers "read those and tell me what you think." I watched as he quickly looked over the papers. "strange quirk...no parents...illuminating highlights and five families?" He looked over at her then back at me "strange, I know." I sat down at the couch across from the sleeping girl. "It doesn't even say how old she is. these papers aren't finished and when I went to adopt her they seemed to just hand her off." Toshi sat beside me and nodded. "It does say her last name, maybe we could look it up?" I nodded and grabbed another handful of papers "I want to get her settled in but, I want to see exactly what this quirk of hers is." Toshi agreed with me as he looked through his phone. we sat in silence as I went through the papers and Toshi looked her last name up. "hey...Shota.. I think I found something" Toshi looked almost frightened as he stood up. I watched as he stormed off somewhere in my apartment. he quickly came back holding a newspaper article. "here, this is it." I looked down at the article and began reading.

multiple bodies have been found after the Hero Killer has struck again! very few bodies have been identified seeing as the majority of them have been mutilated beyond recognition. reports have been coming in that a baby has been spared. the parents, not so lucky. in an attempt to get their child back pro hero's Akihiko and Lola Figueroa, have been slaughtered. 

The Hero Killer, however did let go of the child in an unmarked location. will we ever find the child? will the he ever be stopped? ...

 I put the newspaper down, not able to read anymore. "of course...why couldn't I see it?" I looked up at the small child "She has the hair and eyes of Aki and the streaks are exactly like Lola's, hers glowed when she used her powers too. Along with the gold streaks in her eyes." Toshi's eyes widened in what I guessed was realization. "They had the child around eight years ago so that answers the age question." I nodded and studied her face. "Now that that's all cleared up,  we need to find out if the league or Stain wants her. why would they let her go unharmed?" I looked up at Toshi and he nodded in agreement. "We'll just have to look over her." I laid back a bit in the chair, fixing my eyes back on the sleeping child. Don't worry. I'll protect you, even if it means my life is on the line
