You've had a long day
Trying so very hard not to listen to all that they have to say
You smile, shake it off, pretend like you don't hear anything they tell you
When all you really want to do is be laying six feet under at a shiny pretty morgue.
You cry out in pain but it's all in your head
The pain that you feel that makes you feel dead
You want to drag that blade, glittering in the sun
And slide across your wrist the blood gleaming in the sun.
You want to make that cut
The one they didn't see
And watch the blood flow out of you cascading like a sea.
As it falls poetically down your body you laugh and sigh but your legs just feel like jelly.
You can't do anything now
Your feeble cries never heard
For you are dead around
And not just in your head
