chapter 7. the fall

(SHADOW'S POV)
I am just laying on the floor With the cat. The only thing I get up for is to take care of him. I have a bunch of boxes in my room from my birthday. Jack helped me put them in my room. It's been two months. I haven't left the room at all. But today I get my first mission. I opened half of the gifts and got new wepons and masks. I even got a pair of black glasses with lenses that demons can only see out of. I put on a a black shirt, camo jeans, the glasses black shoes, and a belt and a bookbag. The belt had the galaxy knife on it and the bag had a gun and 15 more knifes. I left my room and while I walked to the door everyone was starting staring at me. Jack ran up to me and asked were I was going. "I'm going on my mission, there is some campers close to the wolf river." Everyone looked shocked when they heard me say that. "That I not a one man job!" Jack said, but I was already leaving.

-a hour later-
I came back all bloody and holding a new bag. When I made it back to my room I locked the door again. I could hear people talking. Turns out my brother is telling everyone that he fallowed me and Sall me get killed. I guess he didn't see me walk in. I heard cry and I threw my knife at my brother. It was so close to hitting his face. But I threw it just to scare him. Everyone was quite, Toby took the knife out of the door then turned the blade to the stairs. I was now sitting on the stairs. "Yawn! Bro I'm not dead... But you will be!"My brother ran and I grabbed all fifteen of my knife and started throwing them at him.

(JACK'S POV)
I was in the group of people who was called down by Max. He told everyone that shadow died. People were crying and I was mad because if he Sall her die he could of helped! Everyone became silent when a knife flew by Max's face and shadow started casing him. I went to were they were running and grabbed Max. "Thank you Jack! Thank you! Now hide me from shadow!" Max gave a little smile then I yelled: "SHADOW I GOT HIM!" he tried to get free but my grip was too strong. Shadow dragged his to her room and threw him out the window wich made him fall off the mini roof and fall on the ground.

-a month later-
Shadow only talks to a few people now. She only talks to Toby, Slenderman, and her friends at school. But one day everyone was gathered at Toby's door. I went to look for shadow in the group, and she was hugging clock work. I asked what was going on and... Tody Rogers killed him self. Masky and Jeff we're crying, they both liked Tody... I Sall shadow and clock work run to shadows room. I walked in and she was pointing and scratches in everything wood even some on the wall and door. The words all said "it's your fault he died. He was your best friend and it your fault. From max!" Clock Work was telling her it wasn't her fault and the shadow Sall me in the doorway. She ran to me and put me in a tight hug and cried in my chest. I picked her up and put her in my room. After Ben messed up her room I had an extra bed. "Goodnight shadow... Sleep now."
