Eleven

I felt unsafe. Like I wasn't me. No one understands me. They don't get me. I may have magical powers but they were not what I felt deep inside. I felt unsafe and not normal when I close the gate. Like there was something wrong. Something missing. I kept that feeling to myself. But Mike was getting suspicious. I tried to hard it from him. But he can see right through me. No one would understand. Except....

"Will! Do you cope?" I said into my own super comm. Mike got me one for a special occasion. "Will! Are you there? Over!" He taught me how to use it too.

"Eleven! Is that you? Over!" He spoke back.

"Yes, it's me. I need to talk to you. It's very important and I haven't told anyone this. I feel like they won't understand but you will. You've been through the same thing. Over." I told him.

"It's okay. Come over and we can talk. Over." I say my goodbye to Will and sneak out so Hopper doesnt see.

Ir didn't take me long to get to the Byers house. I went up to the door and knocked forcefully. The door opened and Mrs Byers was there.

"Eleven! How are you?" She asks trying to make conversation.

"I'm fine. Can I see Will?" She opens the door and I walk right in. I head to his room and when I opened the door I spotted Will. But he wasn't alone. Mike was there too. I froze. They both turned. Mike caught me and jumped up.

"Hey El. What you doing here?" He asks.

"I came to see Will." I answer. I look to Will.

"What is it?" Will asks. I look to Will. Taking a step forward. I look to Mike.

"Alone!" I made clear. Mike nods and leaves the room. His hand moves past mine before he goes out the room. I cliwethe door and sit with Will. I sat there nervously. Looking back to Will and the door.

"What's wrong? What was so urgent?" He asked.

"I feel unsafe. Not normal since closing the gate. Do you feel the same?" I ask Will.

"I never really thought about it much. I mean I know there was something left inside me from before. But how do you feel? Any symptoms?" He asks.

"I feel weird inside. Like it tried to get inside me and left a hole inside. But I didn't let it get to me. How weird is that?" I ask.

"What's it like now?" He asks.

"I feel sickening. I feel like the monster is inside me." The door opens and Mike stands in the door way. His expression said it all. He was not ready to hear every little thing.

"when was you gonna tell me?" Mike roared. I felt like Mike wouldn't handle this well like Will did.

"Mike.... Calm down. I can't have a civil conversation with you if you shout at me."

"I'm not shouting. Why couldn't you tell me? Jesus christ were meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Friends don't keep secrets and neither do couples." Mike spoke. Not what I saw on TV though.

"I didn't want to hurt you. I promise you, Mike. That only danger that comes from me."

"What El is trying to say, Mike. She cares about you. She wants you safe and sound and you don't understand the situation because you haven't been through it." Will tried to help. Mike looked back from Will to me. His expression changed. He leaned in and I was surprised that he suddenly hugged me.

"I'm sorry El. I was being stupid. I just didn't want to be left in the dark." I rubbed his back.

"I would never. Leave you in the dark. You are my forever. My always." We broke apart. I leaned in and kissed his cheek. I think that cleared everything up.
