Eleven's POV.

I was pacing around. Mike sat on the sofa down in the wheeler basement. The only time we get to hang out. Away from the party members and the adults.

"I have to do something!" I finally spoke out after pacing around for 5 minutes since we heard about the new monster taking hold of Hawkins once again. Putting everyone in Hawkins in danger. All thanks to me. If I never opened the gate, none of this would of happened.

"Like what?" Mike asks. "I said I didn't want you hurt again. I'm afraid to lose you again. I lost you once and I'm not letting that happen again." Mike did have a point. But I can't stand back and let people get taken or in our case eaten.

"I can't stand back and let it take everyone like it took me and Will. What would you like to happen? Holly taken? Nancy taken? Yourself?" Mike didn't respond. There was nothing to argue about. I was right.

"I'm sorry El. But I would do anything to keep you safe and if that puts me in danger than fine. I'll take it. I just want to be with you." I moved to the sofa to sit with him. Resting my hands on his.

"I want to be with you too. But..." I looked at our hands. Intertwined with each others. "...I want to keep all of you safe. Hopper will be with me and he can save me like the last time when I closed the gate. I need you all to step out of this and let me and Hopper kill the beast." Mike didn't respond. "Mike! I need you to trust me. And promise me to stay away when it comes to it." He looked at me in my eyes. As if he was looking into my soul.

"I do trust you. And I..." Mike stopped. "I promise." I smile and lean in to kiss him. I love him enough to keep him away from this. I wouldn't want to lose him too. He's my world.
