Rose's PoV
I woke up with a start, the alarm clock blaring like a siren. I rolled over, pressing the snooze button before grabbing my phone from the nightstand beside my bed.

"Dammit." I mutter, rubbing my eyes as the bright screen blinded me. After turning the brightness down a bit, I groaned once I noticed what day it is.

Once I mustered enough strength to sit up , I staggered to the small dresser that held all of my clothes. I dug through and chose a rather comfortable yet not bad looking outfit. (shown below) Today was the day I would be moving out of me and my best friends dorm at Delaware State and into my brothers ...mansion? Place? Trap house is what they call it. My brother Sam lives there with his friends Colby, Elton, Corey and Aaron. Each of them very successful YouTuber's, living the life in LA. But I knew that wasn't the life for me. I had my mind set on going to college and studying criminal justice.

"Rose hurry up with the makeup. You're going to miss your flight." My roommate Casey says while leaning against the door frame.

"It's just chap stick" I mumbled, slipping the small stick in my bag.

"Well whatever it is, it better not make you late. I mean, that'd be awesome but..." She states, sitting on her small bed, staring at the bare one across from her.

"Yeah, I understand. I really want to stay but I really miss my brother." I say, staring at the empty wall that was once decorated with pictures and posters.

"You'll visit right? It's not like the west coast has become nonexistent once you leave." She says, a gloomy look showing up on her face.

"Well yeah. You've been my best friend since high school. How could I not visit?" I ask, grabbing the last bag off the floor and slinging it over my shoulder.

"Good. I'm gonna miss you." She gets up off her bed and comes over to give me a hug. I accept her warm embrace, taking a look at the room one last time.

"Bye Casey." I whispered, pulling away from the hug and heading out the door.

The flight was hell. I sat in economy next to a guy and a girl. Either they were siblings or one of those couples that looked like they could be each others sibling. Thankfully, I had the window seat, meaning I would rarely have to jump over them to go to the bathroom. It was a tortuous 5 hour flight, the two other people in my row turned out to be a couple. It wasn't easy to tell since they would argue so much, mainly about which way the air vent should be facing.

Once the plane landed, I can't deny that I tried to run off the plane. I looked around, searching for a familiar face, one that I grew up with and saw almost every single day since I was born.

"How hard is it to find a guy with blonde hair?" I mutter to myself, grabbing my suitcase while standing on the chairs. It took a while but I finally saw that familiar mop of blonde hair, not exactly short, but not overgrown either.

"Well I'll be damned." I say rather loudly, earning sideways glances from other people. I stepped off the chair, walking over to my brother. He wasn't alone on this trip. Another figure walked up, a mop of brown hair swooped to the side. He was holding a camera, probably recording a video of Sam and I's reunion. I ignored the camera, focusing on my brother instead.

"It's been a while." I say as he hugs me.

"I've missed you. A lot." He says, looking at me then at the brown haired boy.

"Good to see you too, Colby." I say, looking at my oldest friend. He pulls me in for a hug, the camera brushing against my arm.

"Well, we aren't accomplishing anything by standing at the airport." I say, leaning against Sam's shoulder.

"Fair enough. Airports just aren't as interesting when you're surrounded by Los Angeles." Colby says, pulling his keys out of his pocket.

"Let's go home, boys."
