Rose's PoV

"Sam have you seen my phone?" I yell, pulling the blankets off the bed.

"No! Ask Colby!" He yells back. I sigh and fall down on the bed.

"Don't you think I have!" I shout back.

"Why are you people yelling." Colby asks, standing at the doorway, his face buried in... MY phone.

"Colbyyy" I groan and get up, trying to grab my phone back.

"Yes?" He asks, his face completely clueless.

"Never mind." I mutter before flopping down on the couch.

"What's the plan for today?" I ask, looking at Colby who's sitting at his desk station thing.

"Well, put your phone on the bed and I'll show you." He says, spinning ever so slowly in his chair.

"Oh dear God you did not just say that." I say as I toss my phone on the bed.

"Go downstairs and stand by the pool." Colby says, a smile plastered on his face.

"And if I say no?"

"Then I guess I'll have to take you down there." He says, smirking at my shocked expression.

"You wouldn't dare." I mumble, pulling myself up and towards the stairs. I make it down to the pool and stand there, crossing my arms in annoyance.

Colby come running down the stairs, nearly tripping over his own feet. He bolts towards me, only giving me a millisecond to process what's about to happen.

"Colby!" I shriek as he picks me up and jumps into the water. I bring my head above the water and gasp for air, the poisonous taste of chlorine making its way into my mouth.

"Colby!" I yell, smacking him gently on the arm once he resurfaces next to me.

"Yes ma'am?" He asks, wiping his hair out of his face.

"What the heck was that for!?" I demand, glaring daggers at him.

"Just for fun." He grins, pulling me close to him.

"Right, okay. What's the real reason?" I ask, resting my forehead on his.

"Elton's leaving. Like he's moving out." Colby says, his blue eyes looking into mine.

"Really? Why would he leave? We're such great roommates." I'm in shock. Elton was like another brother I didn't ask for. He's been supportive when Sam's not there or when Colby's out with friends.

"He thinks that to achieve the better version of himself..." Colby starts. I get what he's saying.

"So what does this mean?" I ask.

"Well, it means that...." He starts before brushing a stray piece of hair out of my face.

"Rose..." Colby says, his warm breath brushing against my lips.

"Hm?"

"We're getting a new roommate."
