I was blushing and my face still felt warm. Then I looked at Axel who was sitting in front of me on the bed. I got off the bed and fixed my hair.
"So what do you want to do?" Axel asked
"I don't know, anything is fine" I said looking back at him
"Well do you wanna play fortnite with me?" He asked
"Why fortnite? But sure I'll play" I answered
"Do you wanna play on the Nintendo switch or the Xbox?"
"Um I wanna play on the Nintendo switch" I said
He handed me the switch, and pulled up a two huge bean bags in front of the tv. I sat down on one and he sat in the other he gave me some headphones, and put on his own. We got into a party together and two of his friends. We got to know each other and it was fun. They were really bad and kept dying so me and Axel were the only ones left.
*40 minutes later*
"Guys the wigs are here!!!!" I heard Amy yell
"We're coming!!!" Yelled Axel
We said goodbye to his friends and turned of the consoles. We walked up stairs and into the dining room. When we walked in I saw his sister and two kids and a toddler sitting around the table.
"Hi" the two kids said smiling
"Hi what's your name?" I asked
"My name is Noah and this is Nora my twin sister" he said excited
"Nice to meet you I'm Melanie." I said
"Oh and this is Oliver" said Amy pointing at the toddler
"He's cute" I said smiling
Then I heard the front door close, a very beautiful woman walks in.
"Hey kiddos I'm home!" She says
"We're in the dining room" Axel said
She walks in and looks at me
"Your Melanie right?" She said
"Yes ma'am" I said
"Well we have to report this to the police" she said
"Do we really?" I said "can we just not?"
"We have to or you will be a missing person forever." She said
"Okay but I don't have any family, and they will put me in the system." I said getting a little sad
"Oh that's right your parents died" she said as she walked over to me
It was like a trigger and I was fine until she said that, and all the images and memories came back and I just started to cry. I couldn't stop I felt so sad and like I didn't have anyone I realized that now I was alone in this world.
"Oh darling I'm sorry" she said as she pulled me into a hug
"It's not your fault, I just..." I was cutoff by the feeling of Axel and Amy hugging me
"Thanks guys" I said wiping my tears
"I could adopt you" the lady said
"Wait would you really do that for me?" I asked
"Of corse you already seem to get along with These kids, so why not" she said
"I will forever be thankful to you" I hugged her tight and sobbed
