14. New girl

Some days passed and it was now Monday morning.

Ding Dong

I was woken by the sound of my door bell. I got up and went downstairs to see who it was. I opened the door.

"What are your doing here this early?" i yawned as Xander pushed pass me into my house.

"Why aren't you ready. By the way did you just wake up its 7:15." he looked at his phone.

"What are you serious i over slept and now am gonna be late for school."

"Dont worry darlin i got you go shower and ready. I'll make breakfast."
"Thank you so much you're a life saver!" i pecked him lightly on the cheek.

I felt him tense at my touch but i was in too much of a hurry to acknowledged it.

I had a quick shower tied up my curly hair and pull on some shorts and a t-shirt.

I ran downstairs to see Xander sitting at the island with breakfast all ready. I sat down beside him and started eating. It was silent kinda awkward. So i spoke.

"Thanks again for doing this."
"Hey its ok after all you've done for me this is the least i could do babe."

I just smiled. Did he just call me babe well he can i dont have a problem he is my best friend. We soon finished our breakfast and decided to leave now.

"Ill wash up later lets go we're gonna be late. Do you wanna come over for dinner later?"

"Ugh sure" he said more as a question. This is getting awkward i shouldn't have kissed him.....but it was just a peck on the jaw like why does this have to be awkward.

We arrived at school shortly after.

"My bitchhhh!!" Daniel shouted from across the campus. I literally face palmed myself. She was walking with the new girl.

"Thats the new girl i was telling you about." I told Xander.

"Oh ok"
"Whats her name again I cant remember shit."

They approached us suddenly while i was still thinking.

"Hey girl!" Danielle said
"Heyyy babe"
"Hi.....Katlyn"
"Hi you must be Dyann the girl that couldn't come to the party right."
"Yeah"
"So who is this sexy hunk-a-hotness right here?" Katlyn asked.

I saw Xander twitch at the 'nick name' she gave him and at the feel of her hand on his chest.

"This is Xander." I looked at her uncomfortably when she keeps touching him on him freaking chest. I hate her already. I thought through gritted teeth. Why am i even jealous.

"Oh my gosh are you guys a thing?" she asked.

Xander and I looked at each other for a moment.

"No" we both said in union.
Awkward....

I looked down on my shoes feeling embarrassed.
"So are you single then? Cutie." she winked.
"Actually yes i happen to be"
She rubbed her finger down his chest and smiled. He looked at me hesitant for a second. The next thing he said shocked me out of my shorts.
"But not ready to mingle am sorry."
She looked sad but she tried to cover it up.

Shortly after Emma joined out little group.
"Hey guys" she shouted happily. We walked into the school. We went to our lockers then to home room.

It was now lunch time. I got some food and sat down by my self waiting on the others. Emma came first then Jayden then
......there goes my lunch Katlyn's on her way.

"You know i dont really fancy that girl." i said.

"Me either" Jayden said.
"Why not she's nice" Danielle approached from behind.
"She's a thot babe."
"Babe? When where how?" I asked.
"Well lastnight and later." Danielle gave the the i'll give you the deats later look.

I was in my kitchen preparing dinner. I started thinking. Thing will never be the same between me and Xander after the kiss and the new girl. I keep forgetting her name. Xander walked in and met me in the kitchen. I gave him a key this evening.

"Whats for dinner?" Xander asked hugging me from behind.
I inhaled his scent of melon and cucumber and melted in his embrace. I really dont want him to let go.

As if he heard my thought he loosened his hold on my torso.
"Pepper steak with some veg." I replied.
"Eeewwwee why veggies?" he pouted like a 5 year old.
"You have to eat your veggies okay."
"Ok 'mom'."

For a while I've forgotten all that happened today. It was just us right now. Xander set the table and I fixed the food. We sat down talking about school when that came up.

"The new girl thou she thirsty as hell." Xander said.
"Is Danielle the only one who doesn't see it?" i said.
"Why did you turn her down though?"
"I got someone else on my mind right now" he looked at his food and blushed.
"Ooouuuuu spillllll"
"I cant right now i have to clear some things up."

Clear up what. I thought. I was puzzled for a while but shook it off.

"I think ill sleep here tonight if its ok..."
"Yeah sure its.......our house"
"With you?"
"Huh??"
"Is it ok if i sleep with you i dont like my room is scary. Its scary mommy." he joked.

Later that night we got settled in bed. I snuggled into his chest and he held me close. Close to his heart.

"Good night Dyann."
"Good night Xander."

I felt his lips leave a light kiss on my forehead. This is perfect.
