When we woke up in the morning I offered the boys a fun day to make up for what had happened the other night. They agreed and asked their parents. They were skeptical but ultimately agreed. I called some people and soon enough my window was fixed. But as they did that i drove everyone, even donna, to the diner.

"Hey harry!"

He let out a loud gasp of relief and ran to hug me.

"Oh my Lord you're all ok! All of the children are to right?!"

"Yes H! Everyone's fine! "

"Oh my god Maddi!" Sam yelled as he ran from the kitched, the other staff and Harriet in tow.

I smiled as they embraced me and the kids telling them how lucky they were to have me around. I smiled and ordered some food But they all agreed they'd split the check. We said thanks and are our breakfast quickly. I wasn't gonna let the boys stay over tonight but I could atleast let them have some fun! So after our chocolate chip pancake breakfast I took everyone to the park... That feeling came back though. When Donna left to play with the boys and I was in the bench alone I felt like I was being watched. I shrugged it off as a man sat next to me. his hair was a deep brown and so we're his eyes. He had a sharp jaw and a bit of a stubble going down his neck. He wore a black blazer and some jeans.

"Hey." He grumbled

"Hello. You are?"

" Timothy. But my friends call me tim"

"Nice to meet cha Tim I'm maddi!"

"One of these booger pickers yours?" he asked lighting a cigarette

"Brother actually. And his friends."

"Heh cute"

"Yea."

"Hey you!" James yelled

"who me?" Tim called

"Yea! What chu doin with her?! She don't need a man like you!"

James stormed over and grabbed my hand and made a "humph" sounds.

"Well little man what type of man does this pretty lady need?"

my face had become bright red at this point as I saw the boys and Donna watching from the playground

"My sister needs a man who don't smoke! Has a job! Is loyal! Goodlooking! Kind! And all around helpful! She don't need a man to judge her cooking and don't need one who sits around playing x-box in his undies at four A.M. and it looks like you don't fit those qualifications!"

Tim was left in awe as we all piled into the truck. I smiled and waved at him. We drove off dropping everyone off.

"Hey snot can I come over tonight?" James asked

"Don?"He asked

" M? " she yelped

"Yea sure! Just be careful!" I chuckled

Before Donna got out of the car I pulled her arm.

"Hey don?"

"Yea?"

"Can you promise me something?"

"Yea? Girl what's this about?"

"If something happens.... I want you to take care of james...."

" What?! "

"Listen I'm not saying something is gonna happen it's just... Look it's complicated. Just promise? Sister swear?"

"On my life! Now I gotta go! Ill see you later! Be safe"

"Bye girl!"

She got out of the car and I drove off. I always hated driving through this part of town. It was mostly woods but it freaked me out... a lot. People called it like the proxy wood or something. It just scared the hell outta me. So when it or home I turned on my lights and laid on my couch. The day wasn't as young but the light still hadn't dwindled. I sighed and started to allow the sandman to take me until I heard a noise in the kitchen.
