7TH OF MAYTHERE'S something wrong with me.
I must be crazy going with Ye Joon after what happened yesterday.
I don't know how the heck did I decided to go with him thinking he could help me unwind.
Um, no, Alison. You only added a problem to your situation.
Now I am here, holding his shoulder after I almost trip, losing my balance on our way to the convenience store.
He throws death glare. He knows I am bothered whenever I lose my balance. I once fell off the slippery downhill of this road when I am in tenth grade after I got a failing score in our test.
He sighs and turns to me with frustration on his face. Then he kneels in front and reaches for my roller skate shoes, untying it.
"What are you doing?" I squeak.
"You're losin' your balance, Alis," he says and finally able to remove the roller skate and shoes from my feet.
So what does he expect? I will walk barefoot to the 7/11? Even if the street is empty in this early morning, I don't want to go there walking without slippers or shoes on like an idiot.
"Do you ex—" Before I can even protest, he already removes his white Havainas and drops it on the ground so I can wear them.
The side of his lip curves upward after he raises his head. He picks up my shoes and puts them on his white stringed bag.
I wince and say, "Bring back my shoes."
He doesn't bring my shoes back. And so, I don't also wear his slippers. My patience is seriously getting shorter.
It's my problem if I fall out of stupidity!
Now we look like two complete idiots standing on the sidewalk barefooted.
Great!
"If you don't want to wear slippers," he picks up his white Havainas. "We'll walk barefoot, then."
He starts walking, stopping halfway through. He glances at me over his shoulder with a smug.
I huff and tightly close my eyes to calm my annoyance.
Impatience and vex, I don't have a choice but to just follow him. The rough and hot road against my feet makes me walk faster so we can go there immediately.
"Yah," he calls out and holds my hand to slow down my pace.
I avert my sights on him.
"We're going to the park," he says. There's a ghost of a smile on his lips which quickly hints me of something he's planning.
And although I want to keep my irritation at him, a smirk flash on my face. Just the thought of his plan somehow lifts my mood and excites me already. "Did you bring it?"
