Sinbad retrieved Iris later that afternoon and she and Yamraiha filled him in on what they found. Ultimately, they weren't able to go as far as to find the pirates themselves, but the water magician was able to read the waves and the Rukh to draw some very helpful conclusions.

"I can tell that there is a fleet of ten-to-twelve ships, none of which being particularly large. There is quite a bit of Magoi flowing among them, which means we're dealing with Magic, here. That and the fact that I can sense three types of Magoi; Red, Blue, and Black." Yamraiha explained, looking at her King with serious eyes. "King Sinbad, we could be facing multiple magicians or Dungeon Capturers. They are persistently headed Westward, set towards either here or Balbadd. We will face them eventually."

"Well, we'll just have to take them out before the get to us." Sinbad smirked assuredly. "How far out are they?"

"I can't be too sure, but probably about a four-day sail out."

"This is certainly helpful. Well done, ladies."

"Well, it was nice to share the task with a friend." Yamraiha smiled at Iris. "This girl sure is fun to have around."

Iris agreed and teased, "It's also pretty nice not to be stuck with this guy all day."

"Hey!" Sinbad protested, slightly surprised that the magenta-haired woman was comfortable being so sly.

"Oof, burn." The magician commented with a giggle.

The dramatic King pressed his head against a wall, an aura of gloom emanating from his defeated stance. "And here I was, thinking my pretty little aid would miss me." He muttered to himself, quickly and monotonously, not intending for anyone else to hear his ramblings. "I was going to swoop in and she would run into my arms and say, 'my King, I've missed you.'" He fantasized aloud.

"Get over yourself!" The women scolded in unison.

"This was a bad idea." Sinbad whined.

The King brought Iris to a smaller room that seemed like a meeting room, though it was still a room fit for a palace. There was a large wooden table with a map of Sindria and several hundred kilometers extending outwards to the edges of surrounding lands and countries, showing islands that didn't appear on maps that spanned further than this area. There was food there, and they began to eat together.

But Sinbad didn't want to just eat with the girl, he wanted to pick her brain. He wanted to see if she had anything to say about the situation.

"Did you enjoy your time with Yamraiha?" He asked, raising a thick brow.

Iris beamed, seeming happier than she had been her entire time Sindria thus far. "I really did!"

"I'm glad. Though, I may have set up the duo that could put even me out of a job." He chuckled and joked.

She laughed, too. "I'm not sure about that. She had some very kind words to say about you." Her silver eyes were wide and honest, warmth glowing from them as she spoke. "Also, some not-so-kind, but those aren't exactly secrets."

"I hope she hasn't tainted you."

"You taint your own image." She teased back.

"Careful, now," He warned flirtatiously, "keep taunting me like this and I'll have no reason to not taint you, myself." His amber eyes flickered with lust.

"My bruises say you already have." She met him with the same cheeky sass. The King hadn't seen her match up with his teasing like this since the first night she had attempted to surprise him in his bedroom.
