The dining room was unbearably silent; it was unusual for the de Purineus family to eat in silence; usually, there would be talks about how admirable the Prince is or how much Lady Serabi loves the Prince. Today; however, there was nothing, not a single word about the Prince from Lady Serabi. The parents of the young lady sat in their seats, feeling somewhat anxious at their daughter's silence, the servants and guards too shared the same worry for the lady. Not only did she not carry the obnoxious body pillow of the Prince with her to breakfast, but she also wore a rather plain-looking dress.

Something is not right.

Staring into my plate full of food barely touched, I was nervous about how Serabi's parents would react to Serabi's new behaviour. Not to mention the uncomfortable silence of the dining room where we all sat, not a single word spoken since I had arrived, even the servants and the guards have been sneaking glances at me, they too look anxious.

Is something going to happen? Should I say something? In my previous life, I didn't have any friends or parents since my parents had abandoned me since I was born. So my communication abilities are low. Plus growing up, I was regularly moved around relatives who never cared for me, I have always felt uneasy in a new environment.

"Serabi, my sweetheart? Are you feeling okay?"

Duke Aylmer de Purineus.

Based on first impressions, Duke Aylmer de Purineus is a muscular and powerful man; he is a respected individual in the empire for his hard work. Seeing Duke Aylmer for the first time, he had a scar across his face - which I assume he got it during a battle, greyish hair and sharp purple gemstone-like eyes. Despite his rather scary demeanour and intimidating appearance, the Duke is kind-hearted and caring towards others, especially towards his family and the people who live on his land. Described by those close to him, Duke Alymer is like a big old, fluffy dog with the heart of a puppy.

And meeting him in person, I think the description suits him very well.

"Thank-you father, I'm just not feeling well."

After I answered Duke Alymer's question, things were still the same as before, total silence; except everyone around us, including the Duke and Duchess they all looked as though they had seen a ghost with their eyes so broad; it looked as though they would fall out. The Duke who was about to take another bite of omelette, he dropped his fork as for the Duchess, she discarded her spoon, spilling soup onto the table cloth and her dress.

"Is everything okay...?"

Taking a sip of my soup, I needed to find a distraction from everyone's eyes on me.

"Pacifica, did you hear that?! Our little Sera called me father!"

Jumping out of his seat utter joy, Duke Alymer looked towards his wife who looked at him in pure delight and confusion. Wondering whether the young girl sat in front of them were their real daughter or if this whole time Serabi had been under a spell.

"Yes! Yes, I heard Alymer! Our Sera is back. Oh, how excited are we to have you back, little angel. And Sera, everything is fine, we were a little surprised that you were rather quiet today."

A huge smile was present on Duchess Pacifica's face although still graceful - compared to Duke Alymer, who is still standing up radiated warmth and happiness. With his arms wide open, I assumed he wanted to embrace the Duchess to celebrate. Waiting for his beloved wife's response, Duke Alymer waited patiently with his ears perked up and a very energetic tail swinging from side to side.

"Alymer calm down."

Duchess Pacifica rejected his embrace, and the rejected Duke began sulking...? Replacing his grin was now a frown along with droopy ears and the tail that had stopped swinging.
