**Skip ahead to September**

Andy's POV

Andy: ugh, 6:30 is too early....

Joey: yeah, we know but aren't you excited!?

Andy: sure, why not.

Joey: hey, at least your staying at your same school!

Andy: yeah, that's the best part!

Joey: when was the last time you talked to your friends?

Andy: the last day of school.

Joey: really? Why haven't you texted them or anything?

Andy: I didn't have a phone until you bought me one, so we couldn't exchange numbers. And more than half of my friends went on a all-summer trip.

Joey: oh, well, you will get to see them today!

Andy: yup!

Shane: alright, who made waffles!?

Andy: Joey

Shane: oh thank you lord for blessing me!

Shane grabbed a plate and loaded it with waffles.

Shane: so, who's excited for their first day of middle school?

Andy: Joey is....

Joey: hey!

Shane: hahaha, your aren't excited?

Andy: eh, sort of.

Joey: well, you will be when you get there! Besides we already met all of your teachers at the school-night thing and you know where your locker is!

Andy: yeah, I just, I loved this summer and I don't want it to end!

Joey: yeah I think this summer was my favorite too.

Shane: well, we should get going if you want time to make sure you know where your going!

Andy: okay, let's go.

Andy's POV

Shane and Joey drop me off at the parking loop and I walk into the crowded hallway filled with people that are taller than me and none of which I recognized.

I push my way to my locker and struggle to open it. 5 minutes left until class starts and I manage to open my locker. I drop all of my stuff into it and slam the door shut. I don't need anything for my first class, choir.

I make it on time with 1 minute to spare. I finally see someone I know and it is Ashlee. We've known each other since the 3rd grade, so I sat next to her.

The class went okay and so did the rest of the day, it was mostly just the teachers introducing themselves and talking about their lives, which I really don't listen to.

Joey's POV

Joey: shane? When will the wedding be now?

Since Shane's mom was diagnosed with cancer, we canceled the wedding and didn't make another date because we didn't know what was going to happen with Teresa.

Shane: I don't know, we could set another date and if it still doesn't work, then we will re- schedule it again,

Joey: are you sure?

Shane: yeah, if something comes up again, then we will re-schedule it.

Joey: okay.....

Shane: I'm gonna go see my mom, I'll be back in time to go with you to pick up Andy.
