Chapter 5

Ashton's POV:

I didn't know I was full on sobbing when Luke pulled me into up his warm embrace. "I'm sorry" I said in between sniffles.

"It's okay babe I'm right here. I'm so sorry I should have known it was a sensitive topic. My curiosity got the best of me."

He called me babe.

"Anyways were at your home would you like me to walk you in?"

"Uh um no it's fine but thank you anyways" I said while he helped me in my chair.

"Text me?" Luke asked while winking. "O-okay" I managed to stutter out.

When I got to my door Luke and I waved while I waited for him to leave before I entered the living hell.

I opened it as quietly as I could and was so relieved when my mom wasn't there.

Luke's POV:

I think I love him. I know it sounds insane, I mean we barely even know eachother . Maybe not love but im have strong feelings for him.

From his perfect honey curls to his little feet. (a/n yep I just went there)

I just don't understand how people treat him differently. He's one of the coolest guys I know. And definatly the cutest.

When I arrived home I pulled out Ashton's number and immediately texted him.

(Ash is italics)

Hey it's Luke!

Hey Luke

I had fun today ;)

So did I thank you so much

Anytime Ash you're a really cool guy and I hope we can hang out more

I'll see you tomorrow at school?

Yep bye Luke :)

Ashton's POV:

The next morning came and I turned my alarm clock off.

I slowly rolled to the edge of the bed and reached for my chair dragging it over. See if I was normal I could just stand up and leave.

I held the armrest of it and my bed and carried my self onto it. I placed each leg on the foot to things where your feet go. (Idk what they're called)

I rolled over to my wardrobe and changed into Nirvana shirt and threw an All Time Low sweat shirt over to cover my scars.

I rolled into my bathroom and took a shower (there's a built in seat in it). I quickly did my hair and brushed teeth.

I pulled out my phone and saw a text from Mikey.

Coming home today! :D!!!

Finally! I can wait. My mom has been angry lately and I have no where else to stay the night. :(

I can't stand her. When I get home you can sleep over my house tonight! ;)

I rolled out of the bathroom only to be faced with an angry mother.

"You're late you pice of sh*t"

I trembled in fear and managed to say " N-no I'm not n-not yet "

She grabbed me by my collar and help me up by it. Tears started streaming down my face but I wouldn't be able to escape her grip.

Man this woman was strong.

I could barely breath when she punched me right in the eye. She threw me across the room and stormed away upstairs.

I sighed in relief and crawled over to my wheel chair.

I slowly but surely got back into it and made my way out the door.

Finally, I rolled all the way to school which can be a challenge at times.

There are slight muscles on my arms but not much because I'm so skinny.

But to me I'm fat. So I don't eat more than a snack a day.

When I arrived at school, I went directly to my locker and found a waiting Luke with his books in his hands.

I tried to hide my black eye and rolled over to my locker.

"Hey Asht- what happen to your eye?! Was it those bullies because if it was I will mess them up!"

"N-no it wasn't I'm fine just went into a door"

"Hmm.. I know it wasn't that"

After a lot of awkward silence of me getting out my books he finally said something.

"Well maybe if we can be closer friends you'll tell me? Or maybe if I'm lucky more then that?"

I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"Ashton Irwin will you go on a date with me?"

THE Luke Hemmings asked me on a date?

"I -I a m- a- y-yeah of course."

"Great! Is tomorrow night ok?"

"Perfect" I replied with a grin on my face

"Ok I'll pick you up at 7:00 I can't wait! Bye Ash!"

As he ran in class I just hugged my books and sighed dreamily.
