Magma swam with the girl dragon to tye surface. Magma took a big breath of air. "Thanks," he said. "I was running out of air anyways."
"So," said the dragon. "What's your name, Fire Dragon?"
"Magma," said Magma. "What's your name?"
"Aqua," said the dragon. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I got in trouble in class and when they sent me outside, I decided to skip class."
Aqua wrinkled her snout. "Won't you get in trouble when they find out you skipped school?"
"Who cares?" said Magma.
"Oh." Aqua's blue scales started turning purple.
"Are you blushing?" You could never tell with Fire Dragons.
"Maybe," said Aqua. Now she was definitely blushing.
Magma laughed. "You've really never skipped school before?"
"No," Aqua said. "I wish I was as brave as you. The only rebellious thing that I do is I swim a little bit beyond the boundaries during lunch time, just to see what the teachers will say."
"I skip school all the time."
"I bet."
"Hey," said Magma. He had an idea. "Want to come exploring with me? We'll see all the dragon lands, starting with the volcano fields."
"Sure!" Aqua said. "Sounds cool."
"Come on, then." Magma flapped his wings and burst out of the water. He waited for Aqua to do the same, then they flew over to the volcano fields together.
"That's where I go to school," said Magma, pointing at the cave where people were still in boring old school. He was so glad he skipped out. School is soo boring.
"Cool," said Aqua. "It's really hot over here."
"Really?" said Magma. "It's really cold in the ocean."
"I think it's fine."
"Okay," said Magma. "That concludes our tour of the volcano fields. Where do you want to go next?"
"How about . . .the forest?"
"The forest it is," said Magma as they headed for the forest. "Next stop, Earth Dragon territory."
