I woke up from my bed with the sheets covering me.
Huh?
Was I dreaming the whole time?
Mom is still alive!!
I immediately jumped out bed and headed downstairs , hoping it really was a dream.
Hoping that she was just downstairs cooking food or sipping her coffee.
I made my way to the kitchen and peered in...
She wasn't there.
No no , she's just in her room.
I went back upstairs and made my way at the entrance of her door.
I was hesitating for a bit to knock on her door.
Since I don't wanna know if she was still there..... Or not.
I raised my right hand to knock on her down, I noticed I was shaking already.
Knock
No answer
Knock knock
Still no answer
"M-m-mom? A-are you there?"
My voice was shaking.
My heart sunk when I didn't hear her say a thing or either groan.
Maybe shes just really tired.
I brushed off the thought of her dying.
I grabbed the door knob and turned it.
It was unlocked.
I went inside and slowly walked towards her bed.
It was dark so I can't see that well, I can't tell if she was lying on the bed or not.
I shake the lump that was forming on the bed. "M-mom?" I croaked out.
She didn't respond, so I slowly uncovered the comforter.
Horror struck me as I saw it wasn't her.
It was just a bunch of pillow.
Work, maybe?
Hehehe...
A tear fell from my eye and I wiped it off as soon as I noticed it trickle down my cheek.
I breathed in and out as I went downstairs and got near the living room , I heard two voices talking.
I recognize their voices immediately and immediately sprint my way inside.
My eyeballs almost popped out of its socket as I saw the boy from the park and Dominic.
I wasn't dreaming?
"Wha-what are you doing h-here?"
My voice shaking and scared.
Mom...
"Mis--"
I cut Dominic off.
"Where's mom!!!???"
I shout at the top of my lungs at him.
