"Ally, get up! You're gonna be late to school! I'm not driving you if you don't get up right now" a voice called from downstairs.

I groaned and rolled onto my back, my eyes still sealed shut. I never EVER wanted to wake up like this in the morning hearing annoying voices taunting my mind. Congrats, Ally. It's Thursday. My Hello Kitty clock read 7:13, 47 minutes before school began.

This is my world. I'm Allison Kayla Bates, the oldest and only daughter in the family with the most annoying brother that came into my life.

Quickly slipping on my 'I Heart Hershey's' slippers, I shuffled into the cream-colored bathroom, ready to tame my natural cavewoman hair.

Sure enough, my natural waves were sticking up from my ears and on top of my head. I also had a frikin' double eyelid.

After taking a piss, I reached for my comb on the side of the sink and swiftly began brushing my hair. I quickly braided a side fishtail braid, not permitting my messy hair roam around during the day.

Rushing down the stairs, I entered the kitchen. The smell of blueberry waffles greeted me. Seeing that it was 25 minutes before school, I grabbed a plate and stacked 2.

Once I got back to my room, I shoved a waffle into my mouth, telling myself that I just enlarged my mouth 2 times its normal size. I quickly changed into a simple white top, peach-colored cardigan, liquid leggings, and dark brown combat boots. Satisfied with my appearance, I finished off the last waffle, brushed my teeth sparkly clean, and rushed down the stairs once more. I placed the empty plate in the sink, and turned around the corner.

*BOOM*

"Ow...sh*t! That hurt like a bi*ch!" Grayson bellowed out at me. "Stop rushing, Al. I don't want a bump like you have on your forehead right now."

"Oh my gosh..you've gotta be kidding me! I have school in 5 minutes! I can't look in the mirror now, much less fix it! Is it that bad, Gray?" I panicked with wide eyes and creased eyebrows. "Oh wait..that's payback from yesterday's dinner!" My eyes narrowed into dangerous slits.

"Ehh..you'll be fine..I guess. It doesn't matter. Just take off now. Bye Al!" With that, he spun on his heel out the door, rushing to the bus stop.

I gingerly reached my hand up, insecure about the bump that I felt. I would guess that it was about 1/2 an inch starting to form. Snapping myself back to the thoughts of school, I called for my mom.

Appearing at the doorway, she grabbed her keys from the key drawer. Within minutes, we were off, heading to my school.

Upon entering through the double doors of the school, all eyes were on me.

Shoot! I should've checked in the mirror! Now everyone looks at me like I'm a freak..who am I kidding?! I already am.

I finally made it to my locker on the 2nd level. Inputting my locker combo, I looked at the bump in my magnetic mirror.

'Lo and behold, the bump was now turning a light red on one side and looked like it was growing bigger by the minute.

Slumping my head away from the mirror, I hastily grabbed my books for 1st period when suddenly I heard a shrill voice call my name.

"HIIIII Al - uh you've got something on your forehead. I have some cream if you want it. We could dash to the bathroom to wash it with cold water...or we could - "

"Tess! I'm fine. It'll be gone tomorrow." I lowered my head down and mumble. "Hopefully.."

"Alrighty then...well we're gonna miss homeroom, race ya! Last one there has to kiss Kevin Wang!" She giggled and took off like the Mad Hatter.
