"—and then we can set the flower decorations down by the beach, but a bit away from the water so it doesn't get knocked down. mina and momo want to have huge floral arch that we can construct with these roses i've ordered it which should be coming by friday, so that's—"
a long long week has gone by since nayeon sang at the beach's karaoke session. since then, you and jihyo had been having daily meetups with dahyun and chaeyoung to help plan out the wedding at the same ice cream parlor that nayeon ran out of.
it wasn't your job, but you thought lending a hand in decoration or moving things around would be a good idea.
mina and momo actually want the wedding to be small full of their friends and family only. the setting would be the beach where they grew up, decorations were kept at a minimum with just a few flowers and other tropical designs.
dahyun was actually the one who proposed the idea of being in charge of the decorations, thinking it would make things much more personal than hiring someone. chaeyoung only tagged along because she was bored and wanted to make her best friend happy.
only, she's late to every meeting and ends up coming at the very end—when everything has already been discussed. dahyun always rolls her eyes and shakes her head disappointedly, picking up her clipboard and leaving.
today was no exception, chaeyoung had shown up late in the middle of dahyun's explanation accompanied by nayeon and leo.
dahyun scoots away, furiously wiping her cheek. chaeyoung takes advantage of the situation, slotting herself in the booth beside dahyun, arm around the seat.
you watch as nayeon sits on the other side of chaeyoung and leo sits beside jihyo in the booth. you're sat by the end of the table so it's easier for you to leave.
"so what'd i miss?" chaeyoung asks, plucking a gummy bear from dahyun's cup of froyo to which she scoffs at.
"everything as always," dahyun folds her arms. "you know this isn't a school project, it's your best friend's wedding. treat it as that."
