~Squip's POV~

Y/N is going to wake up soon; the flight back to New Jersey was relatively uneventful, and they were going to school today. Japan was fun, but it'll be nice to get back in the swing of things. Somehow, Y/N's mental health has improved considerably since getting me back and deciding not to try and gain popularity; just be themselves and have their friends. They are looking forward to seeing Michael and trying out their new non-popular lifestyle.

Y/N stirs-- they're going to wake up very soon. I sit on the edge of their bed as they open their eyes.

"Hello, sunshine. How are you this morning?" Y/N sits up.

Squid! I sigh. That is one of Y/N's new nicknames for me.

"How many times have I told you to not call me that?" They laugh.

Too bad. It's my first day of school since Japan!

"You'll do great." Y/N smiles at me then hurries to get ready. They choose one of their less popular outfits that they wore regularly before they got me. I can tell that it's on purpose to make a point.

They eat a few bites of breakfast and head out to school. As they walk, I float by their side in their head.

So I have a question.

"Yes?"

Are we technically dating now? I consider the question.

"Do you want to? I mean, I am a supercomputer inside your head. No one else can see me."

I want to date you. Is... that okay? Do you still love me? If I had a physical stomach, it would be churning right now.

"Of course I do." I smile at them, and they grin.

Awesome.

We walk the rest of the way to school in contented silence. As soon as Y/N walks through the doors, they hear a voice.

"Y/N! 'Sup! Got your supercomputer back, up and running as smoothly as before?" It's Michael. He's standing by a locker next to Jeremy, who's looking sheepish.

"Yep! He's back!"

"You wanted your Squip back...?"

"Uh-huh! He's nice and has emotions and stuff," Y/N says. Michael decides he needs to embarrass them.

"Now they're dating!" The word "dating" was stretched out and said mockingly.

Y/N blushes and Jeremy pales.

"Y/N. What? Why?"

"I just really like him...? Just like I'm assuming you like M--" Jeremy interrupts Y/N.

"Ha ha ha okay I get it!" They smirk.

"What's happening...?"

"Oh, nothing. Called it." The bell rings for first period and Jeremy sighs in relief.

The next few hours are relatively uneventful, although everyone seems much more friendly to one another. I can also no longer detect any more Squips in the building.

At lunch, Y/N sits at their usual spot before becoming popular which is next to Jeremy and Michael. The different thing is that now, Chloe, Brooke, Rich, Jenna, Jake, and Christine are sitting at the table as well. Rich is the first to speak.

"Hey, Y/N. All the ithueth have been retholved!" He has a lisp. His Squip must have trained him out of it at some point, but now it's decently noticeable. Jake smiles, then they respond to Rich.

"That's awesome! So everyone's okay now?" Jeremy replies.

"Yeah, we are!"

Brooke then says, "It's nice to not worry about being perfect for once. I mean, it wasn't like I was doing well."

"You were!" Chloe's the one who defends Brooke from herself. "People just didn't notice because you're a different kind of perfect than the most popular people."

"Aw, thank you!" Y/N has a question, I can tell.

"Y/N, go ahead and ask your question," I say.

Alright, they think.

"This is random... But Christine and Jeremy, are you guys dating?" Jeremy looks down and blushes and Christine answers.

"Well, we thought we would, but then a bit later, we decided it was best if we were just friends. But no hard feelings or anything, it was pretty mutual!"

Jeremy blushes and glances to Michael at his side. It's fairly obvious to both Y/N and me.

The rest of the day is good. Classes are relatively simple (although, maybe it was just Y/N's good attitude), everyone is friends with everyone, and everybody seems a lot more contented and genuine.

At home, Y/N sits on their bed and pats the seat next to them.

Sit?

"Sure." I take a seat next to them. Y/N leans her head against my shoulder and I let her think I'm there using muscle stimulation. We sit together for a little while, and I listen to her mind.

It's buzzing with thoughts of me, Michael, Jeremy, school, Japan, anything that they can think of.

"You doing okay?"

Yeah, just tired. Y/N yawns. After a few minutes, they fall asleep.

Everything is going to be okay as long as we're together.

A/N: There you go, done! Sorry it took so long, and I hope you enjoyed!
