By the time my alarm goes off for the fifth time I slam my hand on the clock and decide on skipping school. If I was being fair, today is the day that we needed to turn our papers in and I wasn't even close to being done. After thirty seconds of yelling at myself I lay back down and fall asleep.

"Lex, what ate you doing here?" Stiles asks coming out of his bedroom in his boxers and an old All Time Low tee. I shrug from my new spot on the counter. I had only been up for fifteen minutes, and was quietly waiting for my coffee to be done.

"Needed a day off." I reply looking up at him. He stands at the doorway of the kitchen awkwardly and I give him a look. "What's with you?"

"Well there's something you need to know.." He starts but is cut off my a girl walking out of his bedroom wearing only Stiles' shirt. Her eyes widen, as do mine, when our eyes meet. I look at Stiles who stands there scratching the back of his head.

"I'll just go back into the bedroom." The blonde speaks, using her thumb to gesture to the bedroom. I merely nod, silently hoping my mouth isn't hanging open.

The second she's back in the bedroom, with the door shut I'm on my feet and smacking Stiles multiple times in the arm. "How do you not tell me you're bringing a girl home. We made a rule!" I whispered yell at him. His hands come up, blocking my hands from hitting him.

"I'm sorry, Jesus, ow Alexa stop!" He said as I took another swing. I crossed my arms waiting for him to give me an explanation. "I didn't know that was going to happen, I didn't have a chance to tell you." He says honestly. I grab my coffee cup, pouring myself a cup of coffee taking a sip and looking back at Stiles.

"Well I'm going back into my room, I have a paper to write. Try not to have sex in the middle of the floor in some place, I might come out randomly." I say looking at him with a raised eyebrow, he puts his hands up in surrender causing me to laugh as I pad back to my room.

As I shut the door to my bedroom I let out a sigh setting down my coffee mug. I tie my hair up, grabbing my laptop from under my bed. I sit there for a few minutes trying to decide what to type. This paper would be easier to write, had I paid attention to the lessons and did any of the homework we were given- it was a surprise I had actually made it this far in my academic career. Not that I wasn't smart- I somehow managed to be an honor student throughout high school- but I never did homework, I was a terrible student in that sense.

There could also be the fact that I had been faced with a bit of a... distraction? It was the only way I could describe him, Derek. He suddenly came into my life, and then made no effort at all to leave it. There was one thing that was clear to me when it came to Derek, once I began to think about him, I wasn't able to stop. My mind flooded with thought, endless possibilities about him, all trying to figure out a tactic to break him from the mystery that was himself.

Shaking my head from thoughts of Derek I begin to write my paper, aimlessly typing out words that I had written almost two weeks ago about the topic I had grown to care less about. Minutes turned to hours, and as I finished my second hour, and final paper, I finally closed my laptop glad to be done with my work. As I pushed my computer away from me, I reached over to my night stand grabbing my phone.  There were five new text messages, none of them were from an unknown number and for that I was thankful. But again to my surprise they were all from Derek, the only surprising part of this being that he hadn't talked to me for three days, why would he want to talk to me now?

You didn't tell me you weren't going to school.

I wasn't aware that I had to?

Where are you?

At home, where are you?

I don't have time for your games Alexa.

I rolled my eyes, setting down my phone. What was his problem? Hell if I knew, but I wasn't going to sit around while he was in a bad mood. Probably more annoyed than I should be, I climbed out of bed and  out to the living room. As I walk out my eyes land on Scott who sends me a smirk. "Lexi, I didn't know you were here!" He exclaimed, pretending to be way too cheery for my liking. I glare at him before looking around the house.
