Sequel

Clara's POV

"Clara, are you ready to go now?" I heard Blue say from the closet.

"Yes, I just need to get my shoes from downstairs," I replied to her.

"Alright, be careful when you go down. Get some cookies from the kitchen when you come back up, okay?" she said.

"Okay, but you do know I can take care of myself. I'm not that young," I said to her while folding my clothes for our trip. Blue surprised me this morning with plane tickets to Hong Kong. She said we're going to Disneyland and I just squealed with delight when I heard about it.

"Of course you are," she said while rolling her eyes. I laughed at her and went downstairs. I picked up my shoes from the shoe rack near the door. But as I step away from the rack, the door opened and the snowy mist of November came inside the house. I shivered and tried to close the door but it was hard. It's like something or someone is trying to hold the door.

I tried to call Blue but she didn't hear me. I screamed so loud but no one heard it. I slipped my grip on the door and I came tumbling down the cold path. Something was pulling me away from the mansion and I hear Blue yell from the inside. I screamed her name and I saw her at the window with her expression morphed into fear. She quickly ran to the door and tried to catch up with me. Her inhuman speed was helping, but it wasn't enough for her to get to me.

My ankle was burning because of someone's grip. It kept on dragging me outside the gates and into the busy street. Wounds and dirt covered my skin with my cries that I don't even know I was in pain. My mind focused on Blue who was running to get to me.

I was getting tired until I saw Blue holding my hand tightly. She was pulling me away from the creature.

"Let go of her!" she demanded. Her voice was filled with authority.

Its grip tighten and I yelped in pain.

Then, I was lifted in the air. Blue's hand slipped and I cried out in pain when I landed on the road. My head was spinning as I pushed myself up.

"Carla!!" I heard Blue screamed as a truck's loud horn came.

Everything happened so fast but so slow at the same time. One moment, Blue was shouting for me to watch out, and after that, she was in the middle of the road were I stood earlier.

My breath hitched as her body was thrown, few feet away from me. I wasn't believing anything that has happened in front of me. I cried as I limply walk to her motionless body. She was bleeding and all I could do was sob, afraid to speak.

"You know she's an idiot, right?" someone said from behind me and I quickly turned around to find out who was it. Nothing. "You're really are slow for a royalty, aren't you?" I heard him from behind me again.

I turned around as fast as I can and saw a man with dark hair and glowing red eyes. His face was oddly familiar. "W-who a-are you?" I stuttered out.

He laughed at me. "Oh, is our tiny princess s-scared?" he mocked. "Anyway, your highness. I'm the one who will make each and one of your lives a living hell and the enemy that you were talking about," he grinned. "I am truly sorry for your loss, Clara. She was a nice girl but you do know why I need to hurt her."

"What?" the tone in my voice was nothing like mine. It was scared.

"Oh come on! Don't act like you don't know about my prophecy. If I get rid of her, Jeydon will also die and that leads me to be the next king of the under realm," he said. I just scoffed at him. He's even more stupid than what I read about him.

"Selfish, bastard."

"Wow, that's a word I haven't heard from an eight year-old. And to clear things, I'm not the one who is selfish. Your brother is the selfish one. All I want is the woman I love and he can't even help me when I asked his help. That's what you call a selfish bastard!" he yelled.

"Rules are rules. You can't bend them," I glared at him. I heard Blue in pain and my attention was now on her.

"I will let her live," I look up. This man is insane.

"What?" that's all I could say.

"I'll let her live but with one condition," Blue was choking out blood now and all I could do was let my tears fall down. "You need to help me destroy that rule. And if you don't come with me. You'll see her up there when your time comes."

I was in fear. Blue is dying and I can't let her die.

"Promise me first that you will never, ever, hurt my family."

"Deal," with his reply my vision got dark and my body fell.

I'll see you soon, Blue. And I'm sorry
