A/N: they're dropping like flies in Ciana! Yep, that's right, another death au. ThatOneSnowdrop gave me permission to kill her character, Lir (She's the one that plays Lir in our rp, can't remember whether I credited her last chapter so uh- sorry, I've credited ya this time) aaaaanyway! The only context you need is Lillian is Lir's girlfriend (Lir's a princess and Lil's a maid) and Lir once threw a dagger at Aidan but he can't die from non-magic stuff so he's still alive and wants revenge. Enjoy??
A girl stood waiting outside her last class, Cianian History, with a sigh. Her teacher hadn't turned up yet, and everyone else was getting excited and messing about, and these guys kept knocking into her. She just wanted to go inside already, they were getting on her last nerve. A supply teacher showed up eventually, and gave them books to work from.
She sat in a desk that wasn't hers, as some popular girls had claimed it, and opened the dusty, old book to the glossary.
The topic they were researching was the royal war, the war where Prince Aidan declared war upon his own family, hence the name. They just had to research a story from the war, an interesting one, and write a fact file about it.
So, as the class erupted into a mess of popular girls and guys refusing to do the work and disrespecting the teacher, she flicked to a page and started reading the story of Princess Lir's death.

Aidan smirked widely as he rushed around Lir's room excitedly. Lir was out in the gardens with Her girlfriend, Lillian, so he took the opportunity to sneak in.
He didn't know where to start. He felt a rush of excitement as he looked around, taking it all in. As he glanced at her wardrobe, he made a decision ; he wanted to start there. He tugged the doors open and practically leapt inside. He laughed and looked through all her clothes neatly hung up or folded.
As he moved a pyjama t-shirt aside, he saw a glimpse of pink. A blanket. He picked it up and saw it had a beautiful pattern of pink carnations and daisies. He grinned, but after a while it got less and less amusing.
He tossed it to the side carelessly and climbed his way out of the wardrobe. He looked at the drawers and his grin increased. If anyone else was in the room at that moment, they'd notice the perverted glint in his eyes as he walked over to the drawers and pulled them open.
He sifted through them, but his findings weren't too interesting: a photo of Lir and a girl he didn't recognise (Lir looked younger than she does now, but by no more than a few years), a few books on magic, socks. He looked through the last drawer, and among the socks, lay a familiar dagger.
Aidan fumed, fire filling his eyes. His hands started to crackle as flames sparked from his new-found rage.
He picked up the dagger in one swift motion and stormed out of the room, leaving footprints scorched into the carpet as he went. As he started to run, a malicious smirk spread across his face ear-to-ear.
He entered the gardens and the grass ignited under the soles of his feet.
Lir turned around as she heard quick, heavy footsteps. Fire was spreading all throughout the garden. She felt her heart drop.
Lillian turned to Lir and gasped. "We need to get out of here" she whispered, taking Lir's hand. Lir shook her head,
"no, I- can put it out"
"But- what if Aidan's there? Please, just- let's- let's go?"Lir stared at the smoke growing and gulped, "yeah. Let's go. We need to get to safety and tell the others." She gripped Lillian's hand and started to lead her out, constantly on the lookout for Aidan while doing so.
Aidan chuckled and his grip on the dagger tightened as he stared at Lir and Lil. He loved how panicked they looked, it sent joy surging through his veins. The fact that he made them so absolutely terrified was incredible to him. He felt powerful, he KNEW he was powerful. Just a glance at Lir and Lillian in that moment confirmed it, no questions asked.
He decided to strike now. He'd had his fun. It was now time to make it even more exciting.
Lir saw a shadow move, and then saw someone leap at Lillian with the unmistakable look of fiery anger in their eyes.
Aidan.
As he grabbed at Lillian and threw her to the ground, Lir felt her blood boil. Before she could process what she was doing, she ran to put herself between them as Aidan raised his knife and-
Lir felt something hot in her chest, a pain that spread right through it. She cried out and her hands flew to the wound. She fell back as Lillian rushed to her feet to catch her, "LIR!"
Her hands felt sticky and warm. She pulled them away to see blood covering them. Lir started to panic and screamed in agony as the shock subsided and the pain settled in fully.
The flames calmed as Aidan's anger was satisfied. He grinned down at them as Lillian laid Lir down and tried to stop the bleeding. He started giggling quietly, then threw his head back and chortled deafeningly.
He didn't stop until he was wheezing. He had started crying from laughter, and he wiped his eyes. "Not what I was aiming for, but this is so much better!" He let out a final chuckle and sighed, "have fun with the rest of your date, girls! Ta-ta!~" he leapt forward again and took the dagger. Lir cried out again as the pain got worse.
Lir's ears began to ring. She felt dizzy and nauseous as she gripped onto Lillian's arms desperately. "Princess, stop! I- I need to stop the bleeding! I- I need to-" Lillian began to sob. She could remember what to do, but she didn't have the right stuff. He'd taken out the dagger, now the chance of Lir not making it was even higher. She took off the cardigan she had on over her simple dress, and pressed it onto the wound, and pressed on the artery it had hit. Lillian realised that since she was struck in the chest, there was a high possibility that it had hit a main artery. This gave her thirty minutes to save her.
Lillian pushed harder and cried for help as Lir sobbed. They were both crying, Lillian out of fear and Lir our of pain.
The seconds blurred into minutes, and soon time ran out.
Lir clasped Lillian's hand as she slipped in and out of consciousness. "It's ok" she managed.
Lillian frantically shook her head, "no, I- It's gonna be ok, just let me-" Lillian paused to cry for help again, then turned back to Lir, "you're gonna be ok, just let me help you"
Lir clasped Lillian's other hand. "It's ok" she repeated. Lillian sniffed and closed her eyes to stop more tears from flowing.
Lir's eyes closed for a few seconds, but she managed to open them. "I love you"
Her eyes closed again, and did not open. Lillian shook her slightly, "Lir?"
No response.
"Lir?!"
No response.
Lillian checked Lir's pulse, and shrieked. "No! Don't leave me!" She yelled, "don't you dare! Lir, please!"
Still no response.
Lillian intertwined her fingers with Lir's as she sobbed. "I love you," she wept, "I love you to the moon and back."
