"Huh, weird." I shrug and set my hairbrush down and walk into the closet to get dressed. I decide to wear a grey crop top style shirt with my Nike jacket and some leggings.

After putting on my shoes, i walk to the mirror and laugh. "Wow. Converse with Nike."

I giggle and grab my backpack, putting all of my books inside. I get my charger and phone and see a text from my best friend.

Best fren🤞❤: WHERE ARE YOU?!? YOUR LATE!!!

I check the time on my phone and notice i still have 45 minutes before first period. I smile to myself and text her back

Um...no im not, its not even close to first period.

Best fren🤞❤: UM EXSQUEEZE ME. WE AINT ON THEIR TIME WE ARE ON MY TIME SO GET YOUR BUTT HERE NOWWW!!!

I laughs and shake my head. Putting my phone into my bag, i walk downstairs and kiss my mom on the cheek.

"EWWW!! Get yo mornin breath germs away from me girl!!" She squints her face in digust as she wipes her cheek.

I laugh and kiss her all over her face. "I love you too mom". I eye her pancakes and look at her. She narrows her eyes at me, silently daring me to. "I wish you would."

Just in time, my dad walks downstairs and hugs me. "Have a great first day lizzy". I glare at him and groan, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, thanks." He walks over to my mom and kisses her on the forehead. I see this as the perfect opportunity to take one of her beautiful, fluffy pancakes.

As she smiles up at him, i snatch a pancake and run out the front door. "BYE GUYS". She looks at her plate then at the front door. "ELIZABETH LOUISE CARMICHAEL!!!"

I laugh and eat the pancake as i start walking towards the school. "Elizabeth, wait for your sister!" my mother shouted as i tried to escape trying to walk with her. "dangit" i mumble as i stop and wait for my sister to come.

As im waiting i see something right next to my house, leaning over....watching me. "uhh...hello?" my voice cracks a little as i become nervous. It doesn't answer, it just stares at me as i stare back at it. I keep staring until i feel my self being shakin back into reality. "Liz c'mon you've been just standing here for the past 7 minutes!" i look down to see my sister frowning at me. "oh...sorry." i say.

We start walking and i stop to take a look back, only to see it has disappeared. "weird". i think to myself as i continue walking.

"You thought you could leave, Yeet!!"

I almost throw up in my mouth. "Please never 'yeet' again" i say in digust. "What? You mean like this?" She says as she hits the yeet.

I shake my head as i sigh knowing she will already begin to embarass me. I think back to the figure i saw and think if it was the same thing that knocked on my window this morning.

I shrug it off. Probably just some kid or a cat. I say in my head as i hear my sister singing. I roll my eyes and see the school up ahead.

"Finally, we've been walking for dayyyys". She says while fanning herself with her shirt. I laugh at her being out of shape.

Im not that out of shape. Im not in shape either. Not skinny, but not fat either. Just...squishy.

As we get to the school and walk up the steps i see my best friend glaring at me with her arms crossed.

I tell my sister to go and find her friends and she leaves.

"Whatever sophia, your just extra early". She loops her arm around mine and grins. "Yeah yeah, ready to dominate our senior year?" I nod with excitement as we walk to the office for our schedules.

New year. New experiences. I say in my head as we go to our first class.

Okay...we got this!

And may i just say, although i only have about 5 reads right now. IM SOOO HAPPY. thank u guys for that. And stay tuned for more chapters.
