My name is Leonidas and I'm a cursed man. I was getting my campfire ready for tonight but i smelled something. It smells like a boy coming towards the river so i went to investigate. I picked up my sword and ran towards the river and saw him. He looks like he's no older than 10. He unconscious next to the river. I better pick up and warm him up which i did. After fiddling with the wood i finally made the fire. The fire was going good when the kid woke up.
Kid: where am i?
Leonidas: at my camp. Now who are you?
The kid shrugs his shoulders.
Leonidas: hm? Well i suppose I'll give you a name. How about Eros?
Kid: *shrugs*
Leonidas: you're right stupid name. How about Nicolas?
He nods
Leonidas: nicolas it is then. Are you hungry?
Nicolas: *nods*
I start cooking some rabbit.
Leonidas: how old are you?
Nicolas: ten.
Leonidas: HA! I got you to talk!
Nicolas chuckles abit. After awhile the rabbit is fully cooked.
Leonidas: dinner is served.
I give him most of the rabbit. He needs it more than i do.
Leonidas: i know my cooking isn't top notch but i hope you enjoy it.
Nicolas hesitates but then he eats like a dog. Suddenly i start to smell danger nearby.
Leonidas: get behind me!
Nicolas runs behind me and i. Equip my sword and scutum. Then 3 lowlifes comes out of the bushes.
Lowlife1: give us the child! I will not ask again!
Why would they want the child and not me? I doubt they would answer my question if i asked. Lowlife1 attacked first i parried with my sword and drove my sword into his stomach. Lowlife2 tries to slice me but i block with my scutum. I decapitate him. The third lowlife runs away. I turn to realize Nicolas is running away so i chase without thinking.
