Death.

Even though Tzuyu knows it, has expected it, she still isn't prepared when the words fly out of the doctor's mouth. A single tear slowly rolls down her cheek. It seems to be nothing compared to the loud sobbing in her surroundings. Not that Tzuyu can hear. She's too focused on what the doctor is telling her.

At the very most, the doctor says, she only has another month to live. It's likely, he adds, that in two weeks, it will have taken over her body. And the damage is irreversible, he reports, as she had been admitted into the hospital too late.

Rain is pouring down outside the building, as if the sky itself is crying for them. Just like that day, Tzuyu thinks bitterly.
