The first day they met, Mina was 17 and Tzuyu, 15. It was on a bleak, winter day when the Myoui's car had skidded on the icy road, smashing into another car, one that held Kim Dahyun and her friend, Tzuyu. Though there was no damage done to anyone, their cars were less fortunate.
"Hey," Mina called softly, approaching the younger girls. They were sitting on a bench conveniently placed on the sidewalk, watching as their parents conversed with the police. Tzuyu acknowledged her with a small nod, while Dahyun smiled brightly at her.
"About your car," Mina paused, glancing over the damage that had been done. Her father's car had several large dents in its hood and doors with its glass already shattered into small pieces. However, it seemed fairly light in comparison to the Kim's car; it had nearly been obliterated, with a twisted frame, broken axles and smashed headlights. "I'm sorry."
Nodding in acknowledgement to the apology, Dahyun moved over to give Mina a place to sit. "I'm Myoui Mina," the latter introduced herself, holding out her hand as she elegantly took a seat.
"Kim Dahyun," Dahyun said, cheerfully shaking her hand. She gestured toward the taller girl next to her. "That's my friend, Chou Tzuyu." Tzuyu had nodded in acknowledgement, her eyes looking over Mina. The older girl felt special, somehow.
She hadn't realized until much, much later, just how important Mina was to her.
