Well that escalated quicker than I'd imagined
I grinned a little and followed Valerie from behind, matching her pace before I gave her friend a sympathetic glance. "Are you sure that you're just going to leave him like that?" I nudged her with my elbow.
Valerie only glared, keeping her eyes glued straight with a huff, "I know what I'm doing" I rolled my eyes as I stretched both of my arms, taking turns while I let out a yawn. "Come on, we've been friends even before your boyfriend come along. I can literally read you like a book" I kept walking ahead towards the hospital's parking lot before her pace suddenly became slower and eventually stopped.
"Something wrong?" I looked back with a brow raised while her gaze was directed to the ground, slightly shaking.
"N-nope, I'm good" she muttered, eyes travelling up slowly to meet mine before she started walking to the opposite direction. "My car's over there" I motioned towards the black four-wheeled vehicle.
"Right, I knew that" within a blink of an eye, she made her way ahead me and got in the front passenger seat without any further words.
"Aish, you're acting weirder than usual" I followed pursuit and started the engine. "And you being weird actually makes you seem high"
What's gotten into her? At times like this, I wish I could have superhero-like powers. All her wandering thoughts accompanied with that basic face just intrigues people further.
"Hey Valerie" I called out, driving past a variety color of random parked cars. No answer. "Hey Valerie" and for the second time, no answer. "Valerie?" I peeked over a bit to see her staring blankly at her own fingers, still no answer.
"Oh look! A flying spaghetti ship!" I teased, thinking that I'd get her attention but boy was I wrong. Still no frickin answer, good grief! "For the love of bultaoreune, Kang Valerie. There's a pink spider on you!"
"Ha?! A Pink spider?!" She panicked, sitting straight up on her seat. "Where?! Squish that little son of a bitch! Justinnn!" She screeched with a face filled with disgust as she waved her arms frantically with horror. Finally.
If this was an anime scene, her soul would've left her. Tehehe
"Relax, dear student" I laughed, "there's no spider nor a pink one" Well at least nor there'll ever be, but Valerie doesn't need to know that.
