"What?" was all Juliet had voiced out not wanting to accept her parent's sudden decision. They both had told her countless times that they loved it in Forks, and that if they were planning to move, it wouldn't be until after her graduation.
Johnathan noticed the fallen faces of the teens and wanted to quickly lighten them up as he lowered his utensils," That is not where it ends my dear" He looked at his daughter still smiling," The reason Billy had told us about the imprinting, was because we talked about how we decided to make you stay in town, but of course not alone, but with Sue-She actually suggested it"
Embry had wanted to smile with that news but he didn't know how Juliet felt about her parents wanting to leave town. So, he kept silent and still, to wait for them to speak to him personally.
"You're making me stay?" She asked and her parents both nodded
"You love it here Juliet, and this place is already your home" Cordelia explained," and, I don't want to sound like a careless parent, as much as it might sound like, but this is where you belong, Juliet"
She looked down to the wooden table trying to process her parent's sudden drop of news. She couldn't explain it completely, she knew she was happy, but she also felt hurt that her parents have not told her sooner.
"We just want you to be happy Julietta" Johnathan said her full name, which he hardly ever used," When we first came to Forks all we came was for the history, but then each day, during that summer vacation, we saw that it was the place that just might be where you rightfully belong" He explicated," This is your home now Juliet, it's the place you thrive and it's also the place you found love"
She looked up to her father and back to Embry who had kept his hand in her own. Her father's words were so heartfelt and it just sounded right. She couldn't explain the pull that the town had on her, but she could explain all the happiness she found here along with the future that she imagined.
"It's not the imprinting" Juliet smiled looking at her parents and then to Embry," It's the place where I found not only love but also a family. I can't describe it word for word, but it's the place I want to call my home"
Her parents smiled as well with Embry, he wanted to pull her into a tight hug, but he couldn't be greedy at the moment. Right now, was her and her parent's moment," I'll stay, under one condition" Juliet said looking at her parents who both nodded.
"Anything darling," Her father said putting his hand on his wife and daughters held hands
"I want you to write to me a lot, and send postcards on wherever you guys go, and to stay safe"
"I think that is three conditions" Cordelia joked making Juliet chuckle
"But of course, Sweetie, and don't cut us so short, we'll be here for your graduation as well" Johnathan pointed out.
Juliet got up and hugged her parents, which ended with Embry being pulled into the embrace. She was staying, and this time indefinitely.
