Vampire king

Prologue

The Year is 2424 humans live in a world were vampires rule and humans are there slaves. We provide sustenance  and because of that they protect us.

In the year 2254 a war nearly erased the human race from the face of the planet. The only reason any of us survived is because most of us were smart enough to create a pact with the vampires who realized that without us they would also die. At first we fought back against the monsters but we soon realize that we had never been prepared for such a fight.

No one really knows how many monsters still hide in the world and what kind they are. People say that there are witches, shifters and other mythical creatures out there but no one can say for sure because no human has ever left the city and returned. Only the vampires and the human counsel knows what is actually out there.

Every city varies in size and has multiple sectioned areas however all have at least five main areas.

Area one is only for vampires. Humans are not aloud in this area unless they are summoned or own by a vampire . Area two is houses the upperclass for both species. Area three is the market. Area four is for the human families. Vampire's are not aloud in this area unless it is for security reasons. Area five is the industrial.

Vampire's heal quicker than humans so to keep the humans numbers stable anyone with deadly injurys are given vampire blood to improve there chances of surviving. There are some things that vampire blood can't heal like Aids. The people that do have these diseases get seperated from the rest of the population and are never seen again. The reason this happens is to stop the disease from spreading.

Our blood is the only payment we can provide for the protection given to us. Some humans live with vampire as live in donors and those of us that don't have to donate blood every week depending on there blood type. Anyone under the age of eighteen can not donate. Each city has a main blood type.  A positive is more common in the city of  Los Angeles but there are other blood types as well. The reason being that vampires that live in los Angeles prefer A positive blood. So if someone has A negative blood they are more likely to live in another city such as new Orleans. Just because someone has A positive blood doesn't mean that they are going to go to los Angeles it just means they have a higher chance of going to Los Angeles. That is why when children turn eighteen they get evaluated. Meaning they get sent away to find out there blood type and learn about the city they will be living in before they move there.

In two weeks all the children that have turned eighteen or are turning eighteen this year well be being evaluated. And I Lilly Terri am one of them.
