Chapter 3 Dance

"Wow! Don't we look great." Nikita said spinning in front of the mirror in my room. "Yep I have to agree with you on that one," I replied looking at my reflection. "Ok so Dean and Matt will be picking us up around six so we still have plenty of time" said Nikita looking at her phone. "I can't believe im going with Matt" I said. "Hey he's not that bad,so he not the hottest guy in our year but he is better then snotty nosie Jerry" Nikita replied. 

"Girls how is everything going up there?" yelled my mother from the bottom of the stairs. "Yer mum it's going fine" I yelled back pocking my head out the door. "Your father and I want you and Nikita to come down stairs once your ready so we can take some pictures" my mother yelled. Sitting back down on my bed I started to feel sick knowing that this time tomorrow I will be leaving here and I won't know weather I will ever come back. "God I'm going to miss my parents so much" I said out loud. "Same here" said Nikita lettling out a big breath.

DIMITRI

"You do now how much shit you're in with the counsel right now, don't you?" said Tatiana. "They'll get over it. They're the ones that suggested I become more involved with the humans." I shrugged putting my jacket on. "Yeah but tonight they're having a meeting and you're meant to be present" she explained. "They'll survive. It's not like it's the first time I've missed a counsel meeting" I said. "No but it's the first time you have missed one for a human event" she said grabing her purse of the table.  "Well hopefully that will teach them for making me be involved with the humans" I said.

When we arrived at the hall it seemed like chaos. Everyone running around doing the last little bits and pieces. As time passed more students came in all dresses up. As a girl and her friends entered I found myself unable to look away. Her hair was just flowing over her shoulders all natural looking not like all the other females I had seen so far tonight with there fancy hair do's. The dress she wore was simple but elegant at the same time. The way it just flowed around her body like it was a part of her. As I watch her unable to take my eyes away her gaze met mine. I held it for a second then I look away felling disgusted that I found  her attractive. 

Through out the night I watched her not to sure why but something about her just drew my eyes to her and every time I looked to long her eyes would find mine.

One of the student that I had previously met came toward me. Her name was Anna McClaren. God that girl was so annoying just looking at her pissed me off. I knew the frist day I met her that she was the type of girl that though just because her father was on the council that she could do whatever she pleased. "Excuse me Dimitri." she said blushing and twirling her finger around her hair. "Um, I was wondering if you would like to share a dance with me?" "Anna," I said leaning into her and whispered "Why would I want to dance with you you're just a little girl desperate for attention. Come and ask me that again and I will end your pathetic life." I slowly pulled away and smile at her. Looking at her face was amusing the fear in her eyes as she walked way I could see her every hair on her body stand on end in response to my threat.

LILLY

As I was dancing with Matt Anna came up to us. "Wow don't you look pretty Lilly?" she said in a sarcastic tone. "Don't you have someone else to bother instead of me?" I said as Matt and I started to move away from her. "Oh lilly I feel so sorry for you" she said. "What? You feel sorry for me? God girl you do have some problems, maybe instead of feeling sorry for me you should take a look in the mirror 'cause the only person you should feel sorry for is yourself." I snaped trying to keeo my voice calm. "I wonder If you will be a whore just like your mother?". With that said I snap "Who the fuck do you think you are talking about my mother like that?" I yelled getting all up in her face. Matt pulled me back from her. I noticed that everyone that was close to us stopped dancing. Good thing the music was loud enough that the teacher's hadn't noticed us bickering. "Oh Lilly come on, how long are you going to hide it?" she said with a smile. She knew she was pissing me off. "Ok anna," I said taking a breath to calm my self, "I dont know what you're talking about so why dont you just find someone else to annoy?". "Oh my god your mum never told you". "Just fuck off Anna!" I yelled this time I did capture everyone attention but that didn't stop Anna. "Your mother is a cheater. Haven't you ever wondered why your father is so distance with you? It's because your not his kid. You're the bastard child of a random man. Your father," she said doing quotation marks in the air "hates you and when he looks at you he is disgusted".

Once she said that I could no longer control my anger all I wanted to do was make her shut her mouth. As I started to swing my hand to hit her someone grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me away. I tried to make him let me go but when I saw his face my whole body went still. Dimitri took me to a room and practically threw me onto the couch like I was just a rag doll. "Couldn't have been just a little gentle." I said in a quiet voice. He did say any thing back to me, he just looked at me and then turned away so that his back was towards me. The room was so quiet that I could here my own heart beating.

When Mrs Smithfield enterd the room with the head master I stopped listing. I new that no matter what I said I would be the one in the wrong because Anna is the perfect student in their eyes. I only start to listen when they had figure out my punishment.  "Lilly of your behavior tonight you will be sent home and not be able to come to your graduation ceremony tomorrow". As I opened my mouth to protest the decision they had come up with Dimitri spoke. "I hope that this punishment applies to the student named Anna" he said. Mrs Smithfield looked at the head master then back at the vampire. "No Dimitri, it doesn't why you do ask?". Well considering that I heard and saw the whole thing the person that started it should be punished". "Are you saying that Anna McClaren started this?" said the head master. "Yes I am," Dimitri relpy before the head master started to say anymore dimitri keep talking "If you don't  believe me I am sure every other vampire here tonight can back up my words. So I do believe the one you should be talking to is Anna and not Lilly. I believe Lilly was put in a very hard position to ignore. I am also sure any student that had to listen to what Anna was saying about her family would have done the same thing." He said looking at both adults. "Well I will leave this choice up to you" and with that he left the room. When he was at the door he look back and gave me a little smile I couldn't help but smile back.
